Do you think having a anime ova or series would help? Recently, Street Fighter had a few anime material but no so much for other series. Castlevania has been doing well so maybe others can, too. The Darkstalkers Ova was pretty good definitely story wise & characerization when compared to the basic storylines in the Fatal Fury & Street Fighter anime movies & Ovas. Some of them have manga & comic but lately people pay more attention when it's a animated medium. There's also Storm Collectibles action figures which have splurged with fighting game licenses. I'm hoping their Fist of the North Star line is what I'm expecting and I've been wanting them to pick up Darkstalkers. There's a lot of cool monster designs that I would like to get my hands on.
Wouldn't hurt to try, I believe Storm Collectibles could work well with this list. Red Earth, Power Stone, Rival Schools and Cyberbots can be a perfect toy lineup based on their designs and could bring the attention to Capcom's games since Onimusha is returning due to Feudal Japan styled games being popular again like Nioh, Sekiro, and Ghost of tsushima. Fans such as myself been wanting a new DarkStalkers games ever since Capcom false advertised "Darkstalkers Are Not Dead". But than again an new ova would be great. My best bet Capcom needs to pull a Smash bros Ultimate with a Capcom All Star Fighting game like they should be doing. Also last but not least SNK is bringing back a new Samurai Showdown called "Samurai Spirits" so I don't see the problem why Capcom doesn't see the potential with their older Ips.
