Law is the everyman of the tekken series, who just like us in real life, we live our normal lives with everyday struggles but we strive for something great and practice our skills to better ourselves every day! Laws struggles with money have always been his downfall, much like many in real life, but law's sheer tenacity and determination has always kept him going. Hes full of personality, witt, and gritt. Love this character and wish he got more respect than JUST comedy relief. It was fine in t4 and t5 as it related to his character, but t6 and after lost that connection. And in t8 hes just straight up douchey and an idiot lol, they really amped it up in t8
I'm so glad there are others that see Law the way I do too. Due to his relatability it honestly kind of hurts to see him constantly getting the short end of the stick. Law as a character also has great potential that is just never capitalized on

I just discovered this series, I watched King one and it was so good. now im on my way to watch Jack and Paul ones in queue, then I will watch this also. just leaving this note, this project is 1000 times better than actual Tekken's modern lore, which turned legacy characters into joke in latest games. Its a shame what Tekken has become, Tekken should have been dark toned, serious and mystic just like this series. and please do the same for Mortal Kombat, which was another good old lore that is now ruined by modern developers
Brilliant. Absolutely fkn brilliant. Stayed true to tekken in so many ways. The prologue style, the music, fights & ending sequences as well. I wasnt mad @ the ai art either. Its a shame that it falls on fans to bring the games to life in a respectable way. This is what bandai namco should be doing on their own.
The tekken 4 atmosphere hasnt been topped to this day. I understand Tekken 4 wasn't the best nor many people's favorite. But I preferred it when the story was worth taking seriously. AND it has one of the best soundtracks in the franchise.
This backstory just makes me feel downhearted knowing that Law becomes a running gag with insurmountable debt and more embarrassing losses after losses. This alone makes him feel so real and inspirational.
If Law and Paul were treated more serious in the story this would have been the story in Tekken and both are the ones way up there storywise not the goofballs we later gotten, they're still strong fighters lore wise, but mostly joke characters now story wise sadly.

The Origin Story of Marshall Law himself. This is the reason why I Absolutely Love Marshall Law from the *Tekken* franchises: Even though he never had any friends from his Childhood Years, he managed to help out with his Beloved parents at their restaurant. I can Respect him for that
Paul and Marshall are characters who deserve their own spin-off by this point (and Forest, too, let's not forget him - he's been sidelined ever since Tekken 3). They've been pigeonholed into becoming joke characters ever since Tekken 5 (which is when the rot started to set in if you ask me - it was the last game in the series that had some semblance of a decent premise and could have very well served as a finale given the inclusion of Jinpachi as the final boss). Very well done on giving them the backstory and personality they deserve. :)

I have greatly enjoyed this series and based on length of the video you put a lot of effort into this. However, I’m curious of your sources that say that Marshall law defeated Paul phoenix 17:45 . It is my understanding that it was in fact Paul phoenix vs Kazuya Mishima in the semi-final match. I myself have been obsessed with this game’s lore ever since I was in diapers and have done more than my fair share of research. This research consists of rewatching prologues and epilogues instruction manuals, strategy guides, The Tekken Wiki, and also several lore videos particularly “The Insane lore of Tekken” by ClementJ64. I can understand why certain specifics about the lore can be lost in translation because the game can be very convoluted. I’m not saying you’re wrong and whenever there is an opportunity to learn more about Tekken, believe me I’m there. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next video.
That's correct, Law defeating Paul isn't in the main canon, I did it this way to give the characters more depth and weight in the story, otherwise it would be a bit boring. In real life, sometimes styles make fights, this is what I tried to display here. Law and Paul are world class fighters on equal footing. Doing it this way, Law gets a good showing, allows Paul to develop as a character more while also getting the draw with Kazuya and his rematch, and Kazuya is just Kazuya, he just steamrolls everyone 🤷♂️. Despite the slight deviation, we end up circling back to Paul vs Kazuya in the end. Just fleshing out the story a bit without compromising the canon. Adds to the drama of it all etc etc 😂👍
I love the story and I meant it. Perfect and dramatic lore. This is what I'm talking about giving what law deserve and paul. More videos until tekken 8 lore. Hoping it will be a movie with faithful sources like this one.
I really liked at the end when Paul came in to stop Kazuya from killing Law. Law was such a good character in the early Tekken games, now Namco have made him a joke character.

I’m predicting Kazuya’s Tekken 1 story, episode will release in December the 1st or November the 30th. Since I was memorising the dates, Loresmith post the Tekken episodes.
I really love the production of this video (ilustrations, voice over, integration of the game, music and more).... but, I would love if it was made using the cannon material from the game for the character's conclusion (in this tournament he couldn't have beat Paul for example , since the game manual from T2 indicates Paul lost to Kazuya towards the end of the tournament)
Paul takes Law's spot and gets his final rematch with Kaz here, just a slight change to improve the story a bit, but it comes back around in the end. hope that's okay👍

I really love the production of this video (ilustrations, voice over, integration of the game, music and more).... but, I would love if it was made using the cannon material from the game for the character's conclusion (in this tournament he couldn't have beat Paul for example , since the game manual from T2 indicates Paul lost to Kazuya towards the end of the tournament)
Paul takes Law's spot and gets his final rematch with Kaz here, just a slight change to improve the story a bit, but it comes back around in the end. hope that's okay👍
