    Hi Joe, I bought this guitar for Christmas, it definitely needs a good set up, I will take it to a guitar shop change the strings , and lower the action, it's so high off the fretboard, I don't want to spend too much on it though.

    I like Rogue guitars I bought extended warranty for 20$ because if there is a problem I can send it back on the warranty work fee of if it fails or if I step in it. The big issue is being able to play it and send it back in the states versus back to Europe. But thanks for the update.

    Mine just arrived on monday and so far , It's really great , I gotta say thank you for the review you did last year, It sure helped me with this . I like the older look of it and honestly it's what i was looking for , and a great sound of course . I love it so far . I haven't played in a while guitar , the only thing i could maybe say about it , for me the stock strings are kinda hard on my fingers . Might be that my hand got comfortable without holding chords for some time . I'm wondering if you had the same experience with the stock strings . I might change them or stick with them if i only need some adjustment time .

      I changed to lighter strings and it did help. It might take some time to get used to playing again too. Rock on dude.

    Hey Joe , I've been thinking about changing the abs nut already on the guitar with a bone one . also the saddle , do you think that would affect the tone by a lot ? Also is it worth it ? Picked up some martin 11's custom lights strings that might go nice with this and I guess i'd go to a guitar center and have someone do all those adjustments , the action down on the neck , and the saddle and nut change .

      I don't figure it would change the tone much. As far as if it's worth it, that depends on you. If you like the result and it's worth it to you then it's worth it. Keep rockin' dude.

    Joe in your opinion, what strings are the best for this guitar? 11s or 12s?
    I play this guitar 3 hours on gigs and I need to be comfortable and smooth. Thanks

    • @JoeHopkinsmusic
      @JoeHopkinsmusic  2 роки тому +1

      I’ve played 11s and 12s and I’ve found the 11s are easier to play but the 12s sound better and last longer. I use Earthwood acoustic strings so maybe other strings would be different.

      @@JoeHopkinsmusic is it possible to harm in any way the neck of the guitar if I will use 12s? I'm wondering because the body is smaller and it's not a Jumbo guitar or a dreadnought

      The fret work is fine. It might be better with a bit of work but it's more than good enough as is.
