@@jasonjr376 comment has me dead asf tho💯💀😂😂😂
How did it go lol
Same shit bro...
Thanks for this my man. Just moved into my first real house and got my first grill, also a Weber Spirit. First time ever trying steaks and I got them legitimately perfect using your video.
Thank you for the time you put into this video. I’ve always been intimidated by grilling a lot of things. This is the first New York strip I’ve grilled and it came out phenomenal.
My wife was out of town and I was home alone. I don’t really cook but I saw your video. Drove to Walmart and bought two steaks and seasoning and prepared my self a perfect steak thanks to your detailed video. Hope to see more recipes like this.
I’ll give you the biggest tip in the world, before you do anything, put the fat side down on the grill because it needs to cook. The fat needs to render. It won’t render the way this dude did it. Just get those burn marks on the fat, and then do pretty much what he said. You have to burn the fat first! I feel like this guy is going to yell at me, but I hope not. Hopefully you take my advice.
I promise.
Excellent and very helpful video. Thanks for sharing
Gimme some!! Steaks are the only thing I love watching people cook.

thank you
Ryan, can you share the pepper grinder you're using? That puppy looks smooooth
Tried this...grill caught on fire... the steaks came out great!
Dude, what pepper grinder do you use?! It’s fantastic
Man I made a good ass steak after watching this video. Thank you so much!
I really like this grill and use it especially in the summer when it's too hot to cook indoors ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I use this to slow roast a brisket and a pork butt using indirect heating and both came out fantastic! The tiny grease pot didn't cut it, though, but placing a foil roasting pan from the dollar store underneath the grill solved this issue. ;) Both took over 10 hrs to cook and one burner on low kept a steady temp around 225f the entire time. You'll need to know how to put things together and take your time assembling it. Over the next few days after I used it a couple times, I went back and tightened down screws and bolts that needed it after the metal expanded and contracted from normal heating. As for the value, I have used $400+ grills and this one performs just as well in my opinion. Plus, I have a side burner that the others didn't have which I've used for making sauces, rice, and even boiling potatoes. I burns about 1# of fuel with all burners on medium per hour for me so a 20# The tank will last me about a month of cooking several times a week. The cotter pins remove the burners a snap making it easy to clean underneath them so I don't have any flare-ups from collected gunk burning when I grill the next time. I'm going to try smoking with it this weekend so I'll post back and tell how that went.
Bonus tip, season the 4 sides around the steak as well, wiping up seasoning that overflowed from the initial two main surfaces.
This especially flavors the fatty parts - the fat seriously sponges in the flavors so heavy marbling in the steaks = way more flavor.
This video is spot on accurate making a fire ass steak.
😁😁😁😁
Is it possible to do a cooking session on baby ribs on the grill? Thanks.
Yes, absolutely!
Do u turn heat down after grill is hot?
The time is 2 minutes then 2 minutes per side then 1 minute and 1 minute. Per side. Total 6 minutes. From room temp sitting for 1 hour b4 grill. Salt & pepper while sitting room temp. Pat dry Bbq screaming hot (about 1/2 hour). Rub some olive oil on striploins both sides before you put on bbq. Tent rest 5 minutes. Perfect medium rare. Mine were this exact size.
awesome!!
How long do should I cook a steak if I want it medium, not medium rare????
just 2 minutes longer about 135 internal
Do you keep the burners on high once steaks go on the grill?
Yes
yes
Turned out a little salty and more a medium than medium rare….BUT it’s delicious and I am not disappointed. I’ll just have to reduce the time next time.
I did the 2.5min then change angle angle 2.5 min then flip then 2.5 min.
I can send you photos
If you had thinner steaks than him, that will happen
thank yo!
How do you make them medium rare?
Is this for medium?
Is it always on high heat and do you have all burners on?
Yes
yes
If you want to cook it medium to well done, how long do you grill it for? I was thinking around 10 minutes: 2 1/2 minutes 4 times (2 times on each side). Is this right?
just a minute or two more would do the trick
Maybe less time on each side. And you want to set the steak on the broiler at an angle to get diamonds
Magic fingers all day man.
hahahaha
Thank you.
You're welcome!
600 degrees?!?! Sheesh! That’s insane! I mean obviously it works but I usually have my grill around 400-450. BUT I also Ike rare steaks so maybe that’s why I can have it lower? I still get a good sear.
Meat is the essence of life.
yassss
What's the purpose of the adjustment at 2:30?
I'm afraid to close the lid, it always flares up like flames out of hell when I reopen it. Even after 2 min and it chars the steaks beyond recognition, rendering it useless. What can I do?
Same happens to me
just watch it
Do you always keep lid closed or open? How do you suggest to watch it. When I made one NY Steak it came out as planned. When I did two at a time, Weber Grilled flared up on me. Burned the outside.
🤤🤤🤤
👏👏👏👏👏
2:25 I heard that
so wro ng
Where's your shirt bro?
hahha
Cooked mines for 7:55 . . IT'S FUCKED
y
Mooo
Fucking delicious dude thank you from a really hungry college student
I have no respect for people that for some reason, think it's "cool" to slam down the food they are going to cook.
He’s fucking gorgeous thank you bro🎉
Black Pepper will burn on the grill put in on after the steak finishes cooking
Fancy grill marks don't make the steak taste better, it's just aestetics.
That's not true at all. Searing causes a maillard reaction. The heat causes a reaction between the reducing sugars and amino acids and your steak gets the delicious caramelized lines on it, which absolutely affect the taste.
Why does it HAVE to be medium rare ?
becasue thats the most juicy!!
Don’t put that much salt!!! I learned the hard way 😢
Over Salted disaster 50 fold. Had to toss the steak. Be afraid on ingredients.
try again!
I’m suing u
why
That grill is a disaster, lol. Did the job though.
Too raw
Bro. You need a new grill!!
Why
why are you naked in the last shot
I hate this trend. Quality meat only needs kosher salt... maybe fresh black pepper, but THATS ALL. No other seasonings, rubs, powders, etc. preferably on a wood or lump coal fire. Let that beautiful meat speak for itself.
Like you said, “quality meat”
Buddy couldn’t you afford a shirt,pretty gross!
Followed rhe recipe exactly and got a rare steak … fail.
Way too rare !
nawwwww
It's bloody...not everyone likes that! Common man.
That's not blood silly!
Common man? 😂😂😂
so cook it longer:)
That’s juice, not blood. Big difference.
Tell me you don't know anything about cooking steaks without telling me. That's not blood LMFAO It's called myoglobin. You should try reading a book sometime.
BS ! Red bloody meat is nasty
The only thing I would add is to melt butter on the steak while it’s resting.
Real men like their steak rare.
