Always drove me nuts how even after you save all the Bothan ships, the game doesn't recognize this. Some very weird decisions were made with this game.
More good reason why I'm suddenly only recommending TIE Fighter Collector's CD-ROM Edition if not TFTC ever since this run and the completionist one showed the unfixed rough patches lately.
The crest is no medal though. - When in doubt, hire a really good bounty hunter to pursue if not pacify him. - Again, not a medal, but thanks still. Granted, some in the Empire already know which info the Bothans have. Hell, a sizable number of said Bothans are already dead by way of an Imperial strike force spearheaded by one Maarek Stele sometime back. (With the losses unavoidably incurred, why didn't the devs make sure the prevention objective suddenly get changed a la FreeSpace and maybe even Wing Commander?) I believe the Sullustans against these odds. ...I still prefer Rogue Squadron II's Tydirium. That game needs to get out of the usual Nintendo console prison hell state it's in.
@@LPhoenix I guess we may have a situation similar to TIE's final mission of Battle 9 in which you can destroy the Nami transport before it captures the T/D prototype but the debriefing states that they still captured it. The devs probably intended that Medium Transport being close to the Accuser to be destroyed. I base my assumption on that line about being too late to save that transport as well as the debriefing stating that Bothan lives were lost.
Hey nice flying as always. I was lately trying to play thios game via LAN but was not succesful. I was able to host/join a TCP/IP game but right at the start of the mission, there were connection errors. Is there a wiki out there to check how to set it up?
Is it actually a LAN, or a VLAN through the internet? So far I've only played TFTC through Gameranger on the internet once, and XvT twice in a real LAN. I didn't have any issues The host and the client needs to have the EXACT SAME files to not have a problem. Also I don't know about any specific wikis and such
@@LPhoenix Thanks for the Information. Maybe i try just copying the XWA folder to the other PC to make sure eversthin is the same. XvT was working smoothly via LAN for me as well.
11:05 that oops reminds me of that TIE Interceptor pilot in ROTJ that crashed into the underside of that Mon Cala ship.
Yeah, that's a nice comparison :D
Well, that's one LPhoenix tradition that didn't work many wonders.
@@michaelandreipalon359 A tradition, which doesn't work out well for me if I involve a capital ship :D
The bothans live to see another day
Nice flying LP! Agreed, not sure why more fighters from the LIberty couldn't be spared.

@@michaelandreipalon359 Sorry, my bad
@@LPhoenix Not your fault at all. Just circumstances outside that since the late 90s.

And this is the story of how these many Bothans died to bring the information. ;-)
Which Bothans did die exactly here? :P

They really should have scripted the Accuser better by deliberately making it mercilessly fire at that lone transport.

Difficulty Level - Normal?
No, it's on Hard, like in all of my videos from the X-wing series
