Juan Gabriel wrote over 10,000 songs and recorded over 1,000. He once gave a 6 hour concert without taking a break. There will never be another artist like him.
Could that one be the one where he performed in Mexicali, Baja California? I was there past 2am and everything was going strong, next day I heard he stay and kept singing past, 4am! I believe that was the last show he did, as he passed away the following year. 😢😢one of the world greatest singers😅!

If you’re a true latino, you grow up listening to Juan Gabriel because our grandmothers, mothers, aunties and older female cousins listened to him. Juan Gabriel is a legend
As a boy, I hated his music when I was growing up having my female relatives play him all the time. But as an adult, I have the utmost appreciation for him, his voice, his music.
As a Spanish native speaker it makes me immensely happy hear you pronounce Spanish so good, like really great. ❤❤ Great analysis as always, you're the best at this. Greetings from Dominican republic.🇩🇴
If I could have the chance to go back in time and be in only one particular concert.....this would be the one without hesitation. Juan Gabriel is a Legend!
I have heard this song literally hundreds of times and I still tear up more often then not. Young lady, your analysis of Amor Eterno is the best I have ever seen. Clearly you know your stuff and thank you a million.
It is almost impossible for me to sing this song without my emotions taking over. I sing in Spanish because it's like therapy and it's a way of keeping my mother tongue fresh on my mind. I am never able to tap into my emotions and voice in English the same way I do in Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Latin. A beautiful assessment of a beloved icon. Thank you!
Thank you for being so respectful to our beloved Juan Gabriel and this iconic song. I cannot listen to this song without bawling. My mother is no longer with me and all of my grief comes to the surface with this song. ♥️💔♥️
We lost my mom this January. This was one of the requests she had be played at her funeral. Juan Gabriel was her favorite artist. I had never really listened to the lyrics before but after she passed, every word hit me like a ton of bricks. Still does. ESPECIALLY the part about "I know I could have done much more for you". (Thank you so much for doing such a good analysis of not just the performance but the meaning of the song)
I hope this video will serve to bring this fantastic artist closer to your followers. He is considered one of the greatest Latin American artists, with 34 albums in his career and more than 1800 songs composed, making him one of the most prolific artists in history. Perhaps his best known song for those who perform reactions on YT is Hasta que te conocí, but personally, I consider this song to be much more heartfelt. It was initially popularized by Rocío Dúrcal, a Spanish artist who collaborated a lot with Juan Gabriel, a song that had a great impact and what made its author include it in his repertoire.
I don't speak Spanish, but a few of my favorite artists are Juan Gabriel, Ana Gabriel, Rocio Durcal and Jose Jose. I hope many new generations will have opportunities to hear these great artists.

He’s a fun person to analyze because he was a true musical powerhouse. Starting from the lyrics, everything comes across seamless. That’s how we know he was truly talented.
A wounded soul filled with so much pain that couldn't heal itself, and yet gave us such beautiful timeless songs to rejoice and find hope in. D.E.P. 🙏🏻
Eternal Love. He is singing to his mother in heaven. When someone understands what he is saying, they cry because they think of a loved one that has passed away. This song has been played many times at funerals. He is saying he wishes his mother's eyes would have never closed. And that her eyes would still be looking at him. And he wished he did more for her. She passed away in Acapulco and that was the sadest memory from Acapulco.
Juan Gabriel is a master vocalist, but even if weren't so this song is a hymm to his mother. He is bearing all his soul and heart break, holding nothing back and bearing all his emotions in a very rare and genuine display of true love.🥺
You dissected the song so well, and your pronunciation is on point. I love different cultures being able to dabble and appreciate in one another. Great job and great video. 🙌
There will never be a Juan Gabriel, ever again, in the next one thousand years. Every male from my generation, whether they are/were straight or not, secretely fell in love with JuanGa, El Divo. We lived all our happiness, heartbrakes, and every single emotion through his songs.
You give Juan Gabriel ultimate justice as a singer… and explain his gift… we heard and felt it growing up (Mexicans) but you give it another life with your interpretation 🙏
Yes! Your reaction was the best i've seen because you truly took it to heart and broke it down on the key parts of this performance that leaves no doubt on why he is one of the best performers this world has ever seen. Thank you so much !
This is absolutely THE best reaction video I've seen of his song. Not just a reaction but observation, critique, explanation of sound (music), voice, lyrics the works. Thank you!
This is not a mere reaction; it is also a superb analysis of the song. You explain the text-voice-emotion relationships in detail and thoroughly illustrate your points. Lovely!
I wonder if he knew how especial this performance was, but he did left his all on that stage. What an amazing artist, his voice, his presence, the incredible confidence and heartfelt delivery. Quite outstanding 😮
Wow I've seen a lot of reaction videos of Juanga but this is totally the best one. 👌 nice edition of the anylisis. Hope you can react to the song "Asi fue" by Juan Gabriel the Official video which is live from Bellas Artes. Greetings from Mexico
I separated myself from my family as it was toxic. This song will alway make me cry because I remember some good times from my mom, but it hurts because I was never good enough for her to be talked about proudly. The child part of me loves her so much yet the adult me knows she hurt me in a way that therapy is barely putting me back together. I hate crying because my dad taught to be a stoic man, I'm not as stoic but more than I should be with how I am. I hope if I have kids that when they hear this song they cry at the thought of losing me and then when I ultimately pass on cry in sadness and in memory of me
Gracias por tus palabras, my journey has been the same and therapy has been ongoing for decades, it is hard to reconcile your emotions as the healing comes from oneself
I had to do the same .I only have my mom, my brother & sister. I didn't understand my mom's pain having a cruel toxic family. I didn't understand the healing she needed to do. From death of my tia to marrying a toxic man. I hated the fact she put me in a house with him. As I got older I understood why. She divorced him but I wanted to be sooner. She just didn't have the strength & a family to run to.

I want to thank you for reacting and explaining this very beautiful and emotional song. I don’t think I have heard anybody go so in depth to explain this song and I just want to thank you for it!
Pretty lady, your analysis of Juan Gabriel's Amor Eterno is among the best I have seen. Thank you for giving Juan Gabriel's work the well-deserved respect. ❤
My oldest brother used to see him sing in the clubs in Ciudad Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico, before he became famous. I think he has a lot of beautiful songs .
I’m fluent in Spanish and grew up listening to the Mexican Elvis the incomparable Juan Gabriel. Thank you for the interpretation/analysis. Keep up the good work!
You’re right on target as far as his skills, both as a singer and composer! His connection with his public has been established over many years! An ultimate performer!❤
I like the way you explain the mode of of the music in the mode of the vocal and the storytelling of his classic and loving way of speaking to the audience as he's sharing a part of his heart to the world he is one of the greatest and will always be rest in peace
Wow, great Spanish and pronunciation, as an born and raised Hispanic I'm impressed, this song is very important for us and I'm glad you can get the whole grasp ofvit
I love watching the reaction videos of this song, because no matter if you speak the language or not he is able to reach into your heart, pull it out and show it to you! If that’s not raw power! I don’t know what is😢!
Thank u so much for ur reaction u showed so much respect and admiration for him which he definitely deserves he is a legend who wil never be 4gotten RIP !!! HIM AND HIS MUSIC WILL LIVE 4EVER IN OUR ❤
I love this song and the way you broke it down, i love it even more. I remember when Juan Gabriel passed away. It was the first time I ever heard the American news media announce the death of a Latin Artist.
Best Reaction I have heard from the numerous reactions there are on UA-cam about this song on Juan Gabriel….about his voice and singing breakdown step by step of his high notes, cracking voice, pauses, and deep sadness. The background orchestra and Mariachi instrumentations along with the chorus and Public accompaniment of his song expresses that much more, that deep sorrow that he meant to translate and give to the audience (there and on those watching across the miles allowing those of us who were not there) that sense of his presence and feel that authentic outcry of emotions that makes us appreciate and value our own parents while they are still here. Your stupendous observation is a delight to see the quality of your depiction of this dearly talented and missed Star and it is obviously extremely helpful to be able to translate the language and hear the profound meaning of the words. Thank you so much.
Hug and appreciate your mom while she's still alive. This song brings such sadness to not have my mom anymore. Yet I'm so blessed to have had a mom that always loved me more than anything. The world is not the same when your Mom is gone. Juan Gabriel sings that feeling to the core. Amor Eterno! 😢
This song he wrote for his mother who passed away is very powerful and also rocio durcal sings it her son passed away and she sings it just as sad as juan gabriel!!!!
I came across your video and I loved the way you explained the phrases, Juan Gabriel was one of the best and most amazing singers, songwriters, interpreter, showman that Mexican Music has, he was an artist and our divo, I saw him at a concerts and it was pure bliss, 3 hours and so and it was unforgettable. Most of his songs are so deep and passionate and yet relateable that there is no person even if they are not into Mexican music, that do not relate to what and how he sings. There have been very little videos that I enjoyed over this presentation because you actually talk about music, voice and interpretation. Thank you!
Wow, the way you dissect how he used chest voice or head voice is such a delight because Juan Gabriel not only performed his songs, but esch note, each phrase came alive through his amazing perfirmances...
Now why are you getting me teary eyed this early in the morning. The lyrics of this song are so heartbreaking, I never understood until I lost very dear family. Thank you for reacting to this, he means a lot us Mexicans. He is the divo of Mexico
Thank you for sharing your knowledge on the way everybody can understand it, this is the most complete review that I’ve ever seen of this song. I really enjoyed your video… Gracias from Juarez the city where Juan Gabriel grew up!
Holy shit . This song gets me every time . Losing a family member hurts a lot, but losing a furry buddy recently, may GOD keep my little Luna puppy along with her brother who we lost a while ago .
The Spanish artist I would like to recommend is Camilo Sesto, a singer well known for his romantic ballads, but who brought to the stage the rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar". His interpretation of the song Getsemaní is fantastic, and I would like to recommend it for the end of March, which is Holy Week.
My understanding of this song is he wrote for one of his best friends, Rocio Durcal, an actress and singer from Spain because she was so devastated when her old child, her young daughter drowned in Acapulco. Rocio Durcal eventually sang this song. It's absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking. I cried when I heard it. This is worth checking out.
This is actually an incorrect story that just took on a life of its own. He gave the song to Rocio because it was to hard for him to perform but none of Ms. Durcal’s children died in Acapulco. There’s a great deep dive on the song here on UA-cam. Some people say it wasn’t written for his mother either. Though he was in Acapulco when he received the news that she had died. ❤
Juan Gabriel wrote over 10,000 songs and recorded over 1,000. He once gave a 6 hour concert without taking a break. There will never be another artist like him.

Thank you!
Thank you!
Wow !!! What a voice and the lyrics of each of his songs. Stunning 🤩 👍👍🤗🙏🎤
Wow, the way you dissect how he used chest voice or head voice is such a delight because Juan Gabriel not only performed his songs, but esch note, each phrase came alive through his amazing perfirmances...
This song is so emotional. It makes me cry every time I hear it. I can't imagine what it must have been like for him to write and sing it.
I’m so happy that you liked you enjoyed his music ❤ thank you 🙏 for sharing your love for music. I will also try to listen to your music 🎶
When my Dad passed away my Mom cried every time he listened to this song 😢Eternal love 😢
Most beautiful heart breaking💔 song ever written & sung. 😢😭
PAPITO LINDO TE AMO! TU ERES Y SERAS SIEMPRE EL AMOR MAS GRANDE DE MI VIDA! AHORA Y SIEMPRE❤❤❤
I know everybody thinks about their moms! I love my Mom to death! But my Dad will always be the love of my life!
Thank you for such a thorough analysis. Juan truely left it all on the stage. An epic performance.
Very Beautiful song for all the mothers that are no longer with us.🙏💔🙏
My understanding of this song is he wrote for one of his best friends, Rocio Durcal, an actress and singer from Spain because she was so devastated when her old child, her young daughter drowned in Acapulco. Rocio Durcal eventually sang this song. It's absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking. I cried when I heard it. This is worth checking out.
The song was written by him and dedicated to his mother. However, due to the emotional nature of the song, he was unable to perform it.
I love that she sings some notes during her analysis. Beautiful voice
I loved your analysis, suscribed with no doubt. Juan Gabriel was a legend and one of the most beloved Mexican, there's so much more of him you'd love.
This song hits hard in my heart.
