The introduction of the Lark temporarily resuscitated Studebaker. But when Ford, GM and Chrysler entered the compact car market, it was a slow death for Studebaker. Mismanagement, overly generous union contracts and not being financially able to compete against the Big 3 sealed their fate. Sad end to a once proud company.
My GGGrandfather wouldn't buy anything but Studebaker Wagons . Grandfather bought nothing but Studebaker Cars . I have a 64 Avanti R2 as my pride and joy.

My first car was a 1951 Studebaker Champion flat head 6, 3 speed with overdrive !!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
