I went there about 40 years ago. Still serving family style and was it delicious then. After watching you two, I would say that hasn't changed either. Thanks for taking us along.❤
I remember going there when the tree was going through it.
My wife and I went to NC. And got married there and I brought my wife to eat there and we have tried to go back every year for our anniversary. We live in Georgia and fell on some hard times and have had to miss a few years of going there.
This our favorite place to eat and can't wait to make it back again

I love Boone. I grew up not far from there. My mom worked at Dan'l Boone Inn when she was going to Appalachian. That was her college job. Love that place, glad you loved it. Thanks for the video. 😊

After the story about the hospital, you missed the next chapter! In 1959 my great Uncle Stanley Lorenzo "SL" Whitaker purchased the building and turned it into the Inn. It was truly a family business as Uncle Rans (as we called him) and Aunt Ann would be at the restaurant just about every minute it was open. My grandparents also helped them out mostly on weekends to keep up with the crowds. Uncle Rans actually used to bring the ham busicuts to just about any family gathering we ever had. Also fun fact - Uncle Rans (and every one of us in our Whitaker linage) are first cousins removed from Daniel Boone. :)

Ate there several years ago. Our Christmas tree comes from near there to here in Lafayette Louisiana every year. Went there to see his farm and to go to Samaritan's Purse. The food was great.
Love following youz guyz and Big T! If you get a chance head over to Berlin, Maryland. It's 30 minutes outside of Ocean City. It's better in the off season, all the crazy's are gone. Beautiful area.

My parents lived in Linville and when we would gather for visits we headed to the Daniel Boone Restaurant many times. Hope you can go to Valley Crusis in Oct. To the country fair held always around middle of Oct.and stop by the Mass General if you go, plan on getting to fair early🙂 Thanks for sharing this video😊 Sincerely, Sharon

Karen, I will be happy to make you some real banana pudding! I make mine all from scratch. I don’t use a pudding box, I make the custard myself. Thanks for another great video and hope we can eat here someday! I love learning the history too of all these places

Do you serve yours warm? My best friend makes one from scratch and is served warm, different but oh soo good she learned from her grandmother
@@jaymejohnson2375 no I do put it in the fridge overnight to chill. But it is so delicious I can’t even order banana pudding out somewhere because nothing compares to it haha

I live in S.C. but we have a family cabin above Boone. I have eaten at Dan'l Boone Inn since I was a kid and it tastes the same after 50 years. I always look forward to their mashed potatoes. Will be going up in the Fall.

You two need to visit Cumberland Falls State Park in Corbin, KY. It's breathtaking. They also have a campground.

I can’t find your video where you were in Burnsville N..C. My sister was real hurt when you talked about toe river campground it has a lot to offer now she said people may not wanna come she is 77 Like I said we were poor we had the only tv on that mountain people would come from mole back in the day to watch tv my moms mom mamma Patton had it she saved for along time .Oh the stories I could tell you and we are allowed to have freedom of speech but pray to God for your forgiveness of our home town area p,ease we will pray for you alll and your safe travels just becareful what you say it could compact and area e specially and area just thriving nthankmyou

I have to wonder why when you pray you never say " In Jesus Name"? My understanding my entire life is that if you do not say in Jesus name and any prayer or anyting it is not heard by the father it falls on deaf ears
