We went to The Peddler for my birthday last year. They weren’t taking reservations at the time, so we got there over an hour before they opened an sat waiting to make sure I got a table by the river. We were the first people there. They told us those tables were first-come, first-served. Well, 2 minutes before they opened, a ton of people flooded in and walked up and took every single table by the river and the employees did nothing to stop them even though they weren’t officially open yet. I was so upset. We had that birthday trip planned for MONTHS and then a bunch of selfish jerks went ahead of us even though we were there way before any of them.
Fortunately, we went back this year and had a reservation and got a table by the river. I made TWO trips to the salad bar and enjoyed the river view. No jerks this time. 😊

That shrimp looked really good....and that cake....😍 I was looking at the Peddlers website last week and discovered they have a webcam on the river....occasionally you will see a bear or some squirrels on the river. Hate that it rained so much on your special night out.....but the Lord knows, we needed that rain! That's what we call a "gully washer" or a "trash mover". Thanks for showing us around the place....and the food. I've never been to the Peddler before. ☺

Happy Birthday Karen! We were just in Gatlinburg last week. We've never eaten at the peddler, our go to is the Park Grill. The salad bar is equally amazing, the steaks, seafood & chicken are wonderful. The interior is also beautiful!

We ate at the Burning Bush once, but it’s been gone for several years.

The latest time we were there we received 1/2 of trout at an exorbitant price! I will gladly pay for a good meal, but 1/2 of a trout! Have not been back!
