I was seriously on Duolingo with deber... Like literally starting yesterday. It's like the world really wants me to learn Spanish.
This is one of the best lessons on "deber" I have seen.
Thanks. I try and think of this as “ought to” in English.
Muchas gracias por tus lecciones. Entiendo mucho contigo, profesor. ❤
Your videos on the AIB channel are responsible for my spanish progress over the past year. I'm now conversational and I was able to visit Colombia and communicate as a result of your help. I documented it all. Thanks so much and I've recommended you to every that has seen my videos!

Good series. Gracias from a Gringo who's lived in Mexico 21 years.
Our pleasure!
❤❤❤
Another super helpful and easy to understand explanation!! The '"Debes de" was confusing for me, until now. Now I know that it is sort of like saying "Might" in Spanish. Thank you!!
Hola soy Marilin de Colombia de la ciudad de Cartagena, podria ayudarle a practicar español y ustedes me ayudan practicando ingles. no tengo con quien practicar Ingles y siento que lo que aprendo se me olvida por que no lo hablo.
@@marilinmarrugo7564 holaaa
Buena idea 💡 Soy de los estados unidos, ¡pero vivo en Colombia también!
Vivo en Medellín 😇😇
Very good ! A friend of mine, from UK, is watching your courses, Thank you ! Just to tell you, I suppose you know that already : "carro" is used in Mexico, maybe in other south american places, in Spain we say "coche", "carro" here is an "old carriage". But maybe you are teaching spanish from Mexico, sorry if is that, I saw only this video. Cheers !
Good explanation. Thanks! Some more examples would be nice, though…
Sir after completing all lessons, will i be able to speak Spanish?
Love from India
That depends on how much you practice. You will definitely need to learn more vocabulary on your own and practice all the time. That's the key!
@@TheLanguageTutor okay sir i will give my best, and report you soon after completing all lessons with extra vocabulary.😇
Thank you for your reply.
Great video . Can you do a video on tan vs tanto
מעולה. תודה
شكراً
A mi me gusta ❤
It's south American Spanish..
When you say practice, how do you do that? Do you mean conversing? Writing? How is it possible to practice what we just learn in the videos. Thank you.
what the difference between tener que and deber?
He explained it in the video🤦🏻♂️
Yo debería haber escrito los ejemplos.
When do we use tener que and deber?
How do you say "should" in this context "If we leave now we "should" be able to get there on time"?
I'd say something like "si salimos ahora, es probable que lleguemos allí a tiempo". The should in this case isn't really conditional ... It's more expressing probability, which is why lleguemos (subjunctive) is used afterwards.
You could also say su carro había de costar mucho I think.
A question .... Which is the best way to say must not?
Does "no tiene que" mean you must not or does it mean you don't have to? How does Deber fit into this? Thanks!
no deberías hacer eso...you should not do that.
no tienes que hacer eso...you don't have to do that.
no deberías hacer eso...you should not do that.
no tienes que hacer eso...you don't have to do that.
@@kcorpora1 Gracias por sus dos respuestas

Doesn’t deber also mean “to owe”?
Yes! when used in the normal indicative tense it can mean both 'must' and 'to owe'. E.g. 'You owe me money' = 'Me debes dinero'.
Yeah it also means owe
How about "deber a"..
How would these 2 sentences compare-
Ella debe hacer su tarea
Ella tiene que hacer su tarea
Deber= She should do her homework
Tiene que= she needs to do her homework
bro make a video on should
He just did, the word deber🤦🏻♂️
Must “of” is really “must’ve”.
That sounds good but it is not correct. The 'VE is the contraction of HAVE not OF. The 'VE is just speakers dropping the first part of the word HAVE.
Platos are plates .
Dishes are trastes.
How about bring German tutorials on this channel!! 🤗🤗
I really wish I had someone to teach German.
Google tells me it means duty, another place tells me it means to owe or should.
Would’a...should’a..could’a... 😝
Sorry mr But
Dishes are trastes
Juan deberia lavar los trastes not plates.
Still a good lesson but I loose patience
It's pretty confusing 🤦
Please speak less english shorten. You do clarify but speed up
