I got one last spring and has been running continuously other that cleaning it. I love it, now I want a bigger one.

We had 2 - one in the RV and one in the house. The one in the house broke, so now we only have one machine to share between both locations! Hoping to buy a replacement for the RV soon!

How long does it keep ice cubes cold

As long as it's powered on, it continually keeps the ice fairly cool. As the ice eventually melts, the water drips through the tray to the water well and new ice continues to make until the ice tray is full (or water runs out, whichever comes first).

She forgot to mention that you need to clean it by draining it from the bottom, every once in a while, or it will start to grow algae

When I put the ice in our freezer, the cubes stick together and becomes a frozen block. Do you experience this also?

Every so often the cubes stick together a bit when they go in a bag in the freezer. I just snack the bag on the counter a couple times and the ice breaks up. :)
