Your videos got me in to Slow Pitch jigging, and I had great success, as you can see from my short videos, by clicking on the Blue Marlin to the left ... I still enjoy watching your videos!
thank you very much for the nice video , simple , easy , and have all the information ,, our greetings from Egypt , will try your technique and will tell you what i got
Excellent video. Here in the UK we have the channel - with a heavy tidal flow (10oz/283g upwards in weights). This is possible during the slack water at high and low tides off boats - can a heavy version be made? (I've pirk jigged with 400g for 20-30lb cod)
I've been trying to get a 200lb+ bluefin tuna on the SPJ setup- on paper it's possible. I've got 600m of pe4 (29kg breaking strain at the PR knot) and rod that will take 20kg of drag that still has a nice action with 200g jigs. If you want to fight the fish through the rod then you probably won't be able to use a traditional Japanese rod.... the South East Asian and Aussie style will be better
Wow, 7 years ago and still easily the best all round explanation of slow pitch technique and equipment requirements. Very well done indeed

Dear Mr. It's possible to catch big fish like a 150 pounds tuna with slow jig, slow rod PE 2-4? I never see slow rod big then PE4.
