Funny you should say that I was going through some of my dad's things the other day & came across some of his old glow & diesel engines I had to smell them it took me straight back to the 70's & 80"s. Hard to belive my dad had model Aero engines since the 1940's. Seeing your channel has motivated me to get them running again. I always thought my dad was a magician with these engines he didn't have UA-cam to show him. Old school. Great channel I've now subscribed 😀😀
Hi Mark! I really like these Irvine engines. Have a 46 two 40:s and an awesome 120. Another great European engine builder that I like is Mvvs. Have several engines from them to. Nice video as always 👍
Straordinario e bello fluido , è un ricordo degli anni 1990 , non so se c'erano anche questi al campo di volo quando ho iniziato , molti erano super tigre , complimenti , si vede un gran entusiasmo contagioso
Mark have you ever considered doing a tuneup video? Lots of people struggle with this, they don’t always know what they’re trying to achieve and how. Diesel tuning and setting up would be really useful as not so many people use these so much now, the Tom boy senior with a diesel will be a first for me you’re ease of setting up and tuning makes it look easy, thanks.
Hey guys, I have found that these old engines do not last if used with synthetic oil. I use Klotz. I read that one should use a mixture of Castor oil in with synthetic. Can anyone tell me the proportions in the oil mix?
Beautiful sound the sound of my childhood. My late father would love it. 😢
Yes, absolutely, but don't forget the great smell that comes with it! 😀

I prefer to run them on a 20% oil mix, 50:50 synthetic and castor
