Great video! Incredibly helpful in clarifying core concepts such as inital vs overall grip, which has, in turn, deepend my understanding of other related concepts.
THANK YOU …. Outstanding information…..!!
I feel as if Jarod's comment about the drivetrain position (length of driveshafts) has some merit. For example if a very long front shafy was used compared to a short rear shaft, not only would the front drivetrain have a higher inertia causing it to not accelerate as quick as the rear. On top of that, the axles would have differing amounts of twist, as the front axle would twist more than the rear before delivering power. So the argument that longer axles can cause a power delivery is plausible as a large difference in length could momentarily change the drive ratio
the tips of running heavy oil in dampers with big holes i tried that out today (2x1.8 front 2x2 rear) on carpet on my xray xb2 with 12mm shocks.
it actually worked better then i thought as the car got alot of grip but the oil (750cst front and 650cst rear) stil keept the car damping enough in corners and good during landing and did not acted as a boat as expected with that large size of holes.
