Hi Luke. The video you watched about the springs being to tight was mine . Thanks for watching. Also, the pickups are not microphonic ,all pickups make that noise if you put metal on them. The best way to find out if your pickups are microphonic is simply hold the guitar close to your mouth and speak into the pickups. If you hear your voice through the amplifier then they're microphonic. Good luck and stay safe my friend
