Bought this set about two months ago as for some weird reason Airfix have never reissued their old fort sahara set since the early '90's and second hand sets cost a fortune on ebay etc. Airfix reissue most of their WW2 sets and would certainly benefit from doing the same with their old fort. Would sell like hot cakes if they did! Great set for the price from Italeri though, and I think their figures are better quality, as with all their current figures from all campaigns.
Hi Tim, it's a great set, but those Airfix figures were wonderful especially the Bedouins with camels. Just finally finished a well and a tent, how is yours going? Regards, Brian.
@@monumentstosuffering2995 Hi Brian, unfortunately due to work commitments I have not had chance to start construction so far. Just glad to have a job the way things are in the world at present. Admit I bought the Airfix FFL figures in a single box years ago but always wanted the fort as my cousin owned one. Never owned the Bedouins although I used to own most of the airfix figures even when they were about 17 pence a box! From WW2 to Robin Hood.They were the days and makes me feel old! Managed to get mint sealed Fort Apache and the Roman Fort sets from the US about 13 years ago but unfortunately Fort Sahara is like gold dust.
