Monuments To Suffering
Приєднався 24 тра 2015
Truthful realism to recreate historical tragedies in miniature. The art form of the diorama has the potential to be the most important and noblest of visual art forms, making other visual art seem trivial and egotistical in comparison. Perfectionism is important. The time of creation is measured in decades.

The realism in the colors makes me happy... thank you
Unfortunately, with limited time.. i buy old metal models and just accept the imperfections of the art. Although i would argue the metal figures have a sort of brilliance about them that comes with age...
I hope you come back... miss this style of filming and explanation!
How does the scale compare to 28mm Perry Miniatures please?
Better than BMC? Love the different oddball sculpts. Been getting into more affordable toy soldiers/models to hobby and game with.
Is that a white XJR? (Judging by the mirrors.)
Love the weather beaten appearance. The painting looks like an old photo. Great effect.
Thank you Chris. Most excellent comment.
These fellows look as though they have seen some action. Well done.
Yes indeed - realism is everything.
I do like this way of filming...Superb and impressive!
Thank you most gracious Phil - you're magnificent comment has motivated me to immediately start doing some more bendy Hät marching figures. One can never finish all of the figures one would like to. I hope that you have a most pleasant Printemps. Regards, Brian.
Falta explosiones ahí pero la maqueta esta excelente 👍
What?
Pardon? I mean.
Lol.
At last another like apart from the one I did. Thanks Rob lol.
Wonderful attention to detail. That line of dead and wounded Confederates caught my eye! Nice music too! Thanks.
Thank you Ray. It is rare to get comments let alone good ones. And it's still my birthday by one minute.
And a bit violent.
So ...... if one makes these figures realistic enough, they become self - aware. Lol. I hope.
Just before that he did the same thing to the Iron Brigade officer but in the privates. The South May Rise Again.
4:10 rather.
At 4:05 I am convinced that the Confederate Officer struck that blue sprue officer with the hilt of his sword. A bit spooky.
I have a fine lawyer you leeching scumbags.
Apologise parasites.
Recently got the verminous host, the Warhammer Age of sigmar minis. I started so optimistic. I thought i'd file the seams down, take my time. By the end I gave up. you're patience is godlike my friend.
Your shitheaded copyright claim is dismissed leech.
What copyright you UA-cam liars?
Damned nasty leeches.
Copyright claimants may piss off. Lol.
Includes justified anger and fury. Lol.
Great job painting! I think I bought a whole bunch of these years ago and they were Hing Fat brand if I'm not mistaken. The rifle does look a little too big but after all these are toys not models. Incidentally the Japanese Navy wore a similar uniform when ashore, except the cap badge was different. It was an anchor for the Navy, but otherwise it would be hard to tell them apart from the Army.
Excellent comment. Thank you.
No comment. Lol.
Nice video mate! But that is probably 1/32, not 1/35. Also Matchbox were planning to do a 1/32 Japanese set, as well as an ANZAC set, as well. But they were cancelled.
@@MrPolicekarim Thank you Karim, his diminutive stature for 1/32 scale must have confused me lol. Fight the Power. Lol.
Speechless, incredible work of art 👏
Bless.
Lovely pikeman, well done!
Thank you Phil - Happy New Year.
Stop losing your Rag
I don't have a rag. I lost it a long time ago. Anyhow, I am a frustrated autist artist .
You are talking to quietly 😉
Love the paint on your fingers 🤦☺️
It feel over Sir 🤣
Swearing too lol
@@tonyg4451 Its not excrement. Lol.
Shame they're so full of nasty diseases. Lethal beauty.
He's Happy
I really appreciate your video!
Excellent. I am very glad. Thank you.
So how many times the head come off? 8-)
Lol. Just the one time so far. If it happens again it will be a decapitated drummer.
Thanks Mr T.
How are you
Hope you are well too.
Clever and very nicely done, a great idea!
Thank you Phil. Nothing like a floppy pink feather these days. Merry Christmas Mr Phil.
All museums are now corrupted with lies. Spineless trash.
Horses look very cute with "fetlocks blowing in the wind" and long manes and tails.
Evocative and spectacular my friend, cracking job!!
Ah, merci beaucoup Monsieur Phil mon ami. Une Honuer.
The only shadow was the 'shadow' of the ramrod chap at 8:20 appears to be in mid air.
Very eerie! Great perspective.
Thank you sir. I hope that all is well. Keep on fettling and painting. Highest Regards.
Impressive band
They do not like it up them.
Apologies for my crappy phone microphone and background hissing noise.
Excellent modelling! Can this be seen in a museum?
Unfortunately not
@@monumentstosuffering2995 MTS -- Why not ask a suitable military museum if they would like to display this work for say a year, to make this exhibit more widely known and appreciated.
@@LaHayeSaint No museums were interested 20 years ago across the UK and europe / Russia. Now I am uninterested in them.
@@monumentstosuffering2995 MTS -- I would try again by phone. Speak to a named person of a named department, eg, Curator of Victorian war. Try the London Army Museum and the Imperial War Museum. This important work must be preserved for posterity. Concentrate on UK museums in the first instance. There is one in Leeds too (Leeds Armoury ?) . Try that one too.Good luck!
Apologies for loss of audio - I inadvertently disabled the phone microphone by plugging in the selfie - stick to the microphone input. Nevermind - it was only me saying the usual stuff.
