Installing EarthMinded DIY Rain Barrels

If you ever wanted to collect and store rainwater to use in your yard, well here is an easy way to do it. I’m using rain barrels from EarthMinded to collect rainwater from my downspouts in my backyard. A lot of areas in the country have been experiencing dry spells so having a way to collect rainwater to use is incredibly helpful in keeping plants alive. The state I live in experienced drought-like conditions last year during a hot and extremely dry summer, which led to everything from the grass to the trees dying. If we fail to get rain this summer, I will have water in the rain barrels to use for a little time to help keep the plants and trees watered. These barrels are NOT meant for collecting drinking water. If you want to use it for that, you will still have to filter the water through the appropriate filters. Rainwater collection is unfortunately not legal in all areas so make sure to check your state and local laws.
