    You can't see too much can go wrong? Well mine slowly deflates and I cannot see ANYWHERE how it might be repaired.

      It is a great item to use in the right situation. Have used mine a few times car camping and as a spare bead for guests since making the video and so far there have not been any issues or problems with it. Glad it helped you 👍

    Great little review. Having just come back from four days camping, I hardly slept a wink on one of those spongy sleep mats. Bought a second one for extra padding, but that wasn't much better. I saw the Quechua thing on the Decathlon site and thought it looked like an ingenious design.
    Couple of questions ... 1. Do you think a couple of sleep mats on top of the Quechua thing would work? 2. Have you actually tried a night's sleep on that thing?
    Cheers.

      Hi, yes I have slept on it. Used a foam camping mat with my air mat on top. Was great to be off ground but takes a lot of effort to blow up. Not the best in my opinion. I recently purchased the Naturehike folding camp cot and love it. It’s the version with legs. Price difference is not much, quick and easy to put together and much lighter. The Naturehike camp cot is worth considering if it suits your needs. Check out Theoutdoorgearreview video on it. Hope that helped 👍

      @@InfoZhedExplore I see the one in the outdoor gear review includes extension legs. Did yours?

    • @InfoZhedExplore
      @InfoZhedExplore  2 місяці тому +1

      @RD-dl9ms Yes mine included extension legs. I bought the black version. Also purchased some feet that are used for fold up chairs to spread the load as concerned the legs would damage my tent floor. Works beautifully. Will put up a video at some point when I have used it some more. It may not be an option for you but suits my needs.

    Hi thanks for the video . Is this really needed when you own a ultim comfort mattress ? I mean , that mattress is very comfortable, does the height makes a huge difference? Thanks again

    • @InfoZhedExplore
      @InfoZhedExplore  23 дні тому +1

      Hi, no it is not really needed. If you do not mind being close to the floor there is no need for something like this. However, if a person struggles with mobility issues or finds it hard to get off the floor then something a little higher off the ground is really helpful. When I camp alone am quite happy as a ground dweller and try to take just the essentials. If Mrs InfoZhed comes along then we go with a little more comfort. I would not but this again as a bit heavy. Have upgraded to Naturehike cots the ones with additional extended legs, much lighter and really solid to sleep on. There is quite a few options out there so if you go for an off the ground option have a good look around to find what suits your style of camping 👍

      @@InfoZhedExplore thanks! In fact I bought the 2 sec easy tent to skip the pump , I see that the nature hike is long but is stable ?

    • @MrRoballusus

      Seems stable but think legs can harm the tent since they are narrow

      Good point, I had the same thought so bought some Robins chair feet. Worked a treat on firm ground in a larger tent. Not sure how it will fair in softer ground.

      Hi, no i have used the inflatable bed while camping and so prefer a manual pump as there is more to go wrong with rechargeable or electrical items.

    Hey. Great video! I've just bought a pair of these, they arrived today. I've got a kampa gale electric pump but 6psi seems an awful lot to put in. At 5psi it's absolutely rock solid so not sure if 6 is too much?

      I ended up ignoring the pressure gauge. If it’s firm enough to lie on then that’s all I need. Great blow up bases 👍

    So it has been 3 years how’s it going?

  • @GapsOfTheGod
    @GapsOfTheGod 2 роки тому +1

    There's no way you'd pumped that up to the recommended 6psi! When it's at 6psi, you can barely compress the frame.

      I stated what was shown on the gauge. No idea if it was accurate

    Would you be willing to share what type of mattress you used? I'm struggling to find one that's the right size to use with the base. Thanks!

      Hi Tasha, I used a Thermarest foam mat with an Exped Air Mat just because I already own them and they work fine. Have also tried a Dutch army army surplus foam mat that is better because it’s 18mm thick and a little longer. For the air mat there’s loads of budget ones out there that would be fine. I found that a combination of both the foam and air mat work best as the support struts on the base are quite widely spread. Hope this helps. Happy camping.
