You should see the island fort I'm building in my immersive world, I've nearly cratered one side of a mountain with a set of 4 antler picks and a workbench.
One of the few times I watched the actual build laid out in a video like this and I am glad I did. Great build but what I like most are the finer details and time spent going into hiding things- also making the things that hide things look like other things or literally are other things that serve a purpose like the BF shelves.
It appears to me that a lot of commentors havent played the game. You get all the stone you want moning copper or building various builds. Even more if you ever make a multi level self falling tree farm pit. Iron mining in the environment does give stone but isnt the most common farming method. Silver is less needed quanity wise so less stone aquired doing that as well. Stone pillars in plains are awesome as well as large stone nodes in the black forest like the copper nodes Valhiem is more of a chill grinding game that is more enjoyable when working to a goal Many games are overly grindy due to low drop rates, Valhiem is grindy in regards to a purpose you determine for yourself as it should be. Not hidden behind if you eant a certian item grind this repetive low drop rate area or zone with little else your gathering for other purposes. IMO
all the comments saying this is too much stone to be practical must be left by people who have never mined enough iron to get full gear. its a resource grindy game so if you want a stone base then you’ll have to mine stone. doesn’t get much more practical than that
I am not a fan of building something so insanely defensible in creative mode just to switch it over and get a BOTM later. That seems to be a trend. As for myself I rather wander the lands and pick up stones that respawn between large gaps in productivity for food or smelting so much iron. It is a cool build but the game to me, is so much more fun to try a construction project under constant threat for something more than creatures rallied.
If I tried this in surival with harvesting all materials I think my head would burst from the clinking of mining thousands of rocks. just another day in Valheim of course! A viking never gives up never surrenders so I must reap the harvest of rock and stone!
Stagger your large stone wall blocks (like on a brick wall) rather than making vertical columns. That way if/when lower ones break, the higher ones are still supported.
Nice base. You showed me a different style of building. In my case I'd take advantage of the space above the work station and make some gates to enter the house from above. But the design of the bade is beautiful and also the work station. Don't know how you do not to get the wood wet from the outside that is a decoration in front of the building but anyways your base is inspiring.
Don't listen to these people saying it's not practical. You are using the terrain to your benefit for structural support. I think you did a good job here. 👍
you put a pool in it and overlay the cobblestone laying sound over everything and u got one of those survival jungle craft videos rofl like this much better though :)
Cool design was curious how you was going to deal with the roof and smoke issue I like it maybe would’ve added beams connecting to the under roof so it doesn’t look free standing but awesome work I’m impressed. Wish I had a more creative mind like you though 😅
Great build (and video!) I'm jealous of how everything seems to fit perfectly. ...my build always seem to have parts that just don't fit, making me spent hours of problem solving 😅
I don't get the comments saying this isn't practical.... I get that amount of stone easily when I try and get the copper needed in this game! lol! Nice build!
Cool base idea, but it's kinda hard to follow the dimensions for your digging. Maybe build a wood/stone outline then it from above so we can measure out the dig shape and dimensions easier?
Plenty of things would go damaged by rain, your entrance isn't protected well enough, and most of the construction isn't usefull at all. Not practical, neigher smart desigh. But, is it beautiful? YES. You got one more like. Only one thing to ask: what's with this birch tree from a side of main structure? Or, rather - what it's for?
I use a 3rd party program for this. I have it here, at the bottom: simsekblog.com/2021/02/valheim-admin-mode-creative-mode-console-commands-cheats.html
I'd also say. I'd u don't put the time to make a nice house. U won't. Lol. It's a game take the time. Do whatever u wouldn't normally do. Stretch your abilities as far as u can. This is the game to make houses like this. Makes exploring all the worth while when coming home to awesomeness
If u guys don't leave your stone lying around u will always have enough I use chests in dark forests to hold it and gave them by the copper areas. I collect both. Leaving stone on thr floor then grinding with pickaxe doesn't make sence
I know you might not have english as your first language or you might just not know, but this isn't what people who type "practical" are looking for lol. Practical generally would mean "something that can reasonably be built without creative mode".
Neither smart nor practical, reloading those balista is going to require a ladder. Sure it's a cool build but there's so much left to be desired here. It's a step in the right direction tho.
I'm one of those lazyasses that don't have that much patience and time to grind for metals/stone for all this beautiful buildings, and LMAO, literally you can turn on FREE BUILDING, it's here lazyasses, right there, use it, noone gives a shit about how fair you play, this is a GAME that must be FUN oh and i cheated iron cuz we farmed like 1/4 of the swapms on the map and yet still wasn't enough (playing duo + why the hell there's so little amount of iron, what did we do wrong??)
You would have to probably have portals to 3 plains to do this which isnt the craziest thing to do in valheim by a longshot but still annoying. Youre also using build mode so nothing here is practical
not really. i’ve made way larger builds than this in survival on 1x rates and it really isn’t that much stone. it just depends on how much time you have and what method you use. farming plains pillars is super effective and so is just breaking rocks in the meadows or forest.
but if you step outside that entry channel-like to go harvest stone or grab some food you see in the landscape-you will get shot by the ballistae. There is also a blind spot under them and depending on how well they can angle downwards, most of those stairs may be outside their firing arc anyway, meaning you could get a Mob knocking on the metal grate and have to climb up through your own firing range to deal with it. Given the vast resources needed for this, endgame technologies, and the chance of being shot by your own system-wouldn't a simple moat be more practical?
Creative mode isnt practical. In survival he would have to worry about weight. Cool idea but him flying around just kill the vibe. Anyone whos played in survival would be annoyed by the amount of silver guys tossing around like its nothing.
Buddy, i would not call any build that you need to use fly to clip things into place practical. And let be real honest here, the base of the building just does not look good. You can achieve the same by raising the ground around your base and then vover it with stone to mimic castle wall
Practical is not a word I’d use to describe this build… haha. Cool idea for sure though. Full stone fortress
Actually, when I said practical, I meant the inside. Practical in terms of use, but the base is not practical, yes. 😅
ua-cam.com/video/G-3TuqOXj9w/v-deo.html
They must have meant this definition of practical: Manifested in or involving practice.
You should see the island fort I'm building in my immersive world, I've nearly cratered one side of a mountain with a set of 4 antler picks and a workbench.
not practical in terms of materials used
One of the few times I watched the actual build laid out in a video like this and I am glad I did. Great build but what I like most are the finer details and time spent going into hiding things- also making the things that hide things look like other things or literally are other things that serve a purpose like the BF shelves.
I like how to go into random spontaneous fits of rage and punch the air every now and then.
Wouldn't call it practical based on how expensive of a build this would be in game but it's really cool! This would be badass to have man. Nice work!
Stone is ez from plains spikes and can be teleported
It's not expensiv. It's just stone
It's not expensiv. It's just stone

I have mined a minimal amount of stone. Mostly just tailings from mining copper, monster drops and the like.
When you’ve set the game to create mode, you don’t need any stone to build!! 😂
My only problem with this comment is that everyone building these structures isn’t using materials. It’s in cheat/hammer mode
Dude’s playing in cheat mode, so no grinding was done here
Absolutely gorgeos build, love how perfect it came out!
Him throwing swings at the air is literally just me fighting my demons
If I tried this in surival with harvesting all materials I think my head would burst from the clinking of mining thousands of rocks. just another day in Valheim of course! A viking never gives up never surrenders so I must reap the harvest of rock and stone!
It was very fun to watch, I had no idea what it gonna be for the whole time :D
not what I'd call practical but there's some amazing ideas in there. impressive !
You pulled some tricks I’ve never seen before 😮great build!
Love the interior design and use of space, nice and practical.
задумка интересная, теперь хочется попробовать сделать в своем исполнении, спасибо!
Great video, and I got some cool ideas from it! Thank you for sharing!
Cool build! Well done.

Awesome build.. Im going to incorporate this into my base. Some great ideas
Well done. And nice editing wp really
You're roof and decorative wooden constructions will be broken after each troll coming!
But building is beautiful!
This is epic, I subbed!
Wow now this is cool, thank you for the design, totally like it😄👍
love the speed built video, coming from the reddit post
loved the soothing music!!!
Don't listen to these people saying it's not practical. You are using the terrain to your benefit for structural support. I think you did a good job here. 👍
thanks 😇
you put a pool in it and overlay the cobblestone laying sound over everything and u got one of those survival jungle craft videos rofl like this much better though :)
Dope work!

nice base
Wow this design is really neat. Feels like a mini dwarven stronghold or something.
Great build (and video!)
I'm jealous of how everything seems to fit perfectly.
...my build always seem to have parts that just don't fit, making me spent hours of problem solving 😅
Some people would be like "So this is my starter house"
I don't get the comments saying this isn't practical.... I get that amount of stone easily when I try and get the copper needed in this game! lol! Nice build!
Stone I don't think would be an issue. The build also uses quite a lot of Iron which is a much more valuable resource and harder to come by.
Epic build, and the music choice was amazing
what howdyu get that diagonal trench straight and not jagged
this gonna take like 10 carts of stone or more. But I like the build and your process in making it.
Use the portal
Love the idea of the underground or half buried base. Turning it into a stone KitKat im less into. Looks neat though.
How would you improve this to defend against flying mobs?
Cool base idea, but it's kinda hard to follow the dimensions for your digging. Maybe build a wood/stone outline then it from above so we can measure out the dig shape and dimensions easier?
Very cool build
Pretty good unbreakable and unradible stone base. Seems good
Bruh, the amount of stone I end up with digging moats, I could build this twice over 🤣 this is hella practical
Lmao at first thought he was gonna make a trap for the bosses 😅 but its a nice home
great but how do you avoid having to use stamina?
How do people get the camera working top down and controlled like that?
Amazing
Is this some sort of sandbox/creation mode? If not, how's he floating? I have played only 40ish hours on the release. Thinking on actually play now.
creative mode yes. This site helper for you: simsekblog.com/2021/02/valheim-admin-mode-creative-mode-console-commands-cheats.html
Isn't fighting that stanima bar just the best.!
Can't have infinite stanima with Dev Commands and Free Build.
(Makes its frustrating for large builds)
Shouldn't a wizzard be building a tower?
how do you get infinite stamine?
O mano é um fodendo engenheiro mago😳
Plenty of things would go damaged by rain, your entrance isn't protected well enough, and most of the construction isn't usefull at all. Not practical, neigher smart desigh. But, is it beautiful? YES. You got one more like. Only one thing to ask: what's with this birch tree from a side of main structure? Or, rather - what it's for?
A wild guess, but maybe the birch tree is a Lord of the Rings reference?
I’d like to think so, at least that’s what came to my mind haha
cam you drop this map somewhere so we can download it? its sooo nice❤
Guess the ballista are just for decoration and can’t be accessed lol like the build though
Muito legal, ficou top.
may i ask how to infinite stamina command sir? i love to build but sometimes it is hard when stamina in the way
I use a 3rd party program for this. I have it here, at the bottom: simsekblog.com/2021/02/valheim-admin-mode-creative-mode-console-commands-cheats.html
@@simsekblog thankyou so much sir
insane!
what mod do you use? can fly like that?
admin mode,if you need info here: simsekblog.com/2021/02/valheim-admin-mode-creative-mode-console-commands-cheats.html
really cool compact design, Love the video man :) mind if i try it out on my world? :3
How to levitate?
I wish I could build my house in real life this fast
Heightmap unlimited mod?
When a video was made in creative mode, the word "practical" can be used. Farm that materials are so impractical.
I'd also say. I'd u don't put the time to make a nice house. U won't. Lol. It's a game take the time. Do whatever u wouldn't normally do. Stretch your abilities as far as u can. This is the game to make houses like this. Makes exploring all the worth while when coming home to awesomeness
Must be nice to have Hella stone I still don't have a pick axe😢
Today i understood the meaning of envy 😅
I assume you just fly to your ballistas?
how stamina 0 and you can do it???/
I need a non-game program, like cheat engine
@@simsekblog haha, i found a way to do it
setkey staminarate 0 :D
I don't know that, I'll use it if it works 😅
@@simsekblog console bro :D
É uma falta do que fazer absurda.
Going to use debug and free build without making 0 stamina use tells me all I need.
How do you make it infinite stamina
I use a special software for that. Also admin mode.
There's a key that can turn structures before placing them...
If u guys don't leave your stone lying around u will always have enough I use chests in dark forests to hold it and gave them by the copper areas. I collect both. Leaving stone on thr floor then grinding with pickaxe doesn't make sence
Well, it should be placed in mountains... for some reasons it reminds me a Blades Castle from Oblivion.
Practical? Now lets see you load those ballistae... :P
ua-cam.com/video/G-3TuqOXj9w/v-deo.html
And in case of rain? I think you´ll lost your bedroom!
I know you might not have english as your first language or you might just not know, but this isn't what people who type "practical" are looking for lol. Practical generally would mean "something that can reasonably be built without creative mode".
How deep can you dig? Is it infinite?
not quite, you can see the limit there at 0:38 where he's tapping, it depends on how high up you are from the base where you began tapping
I believe the terrain manipulation max is 8 levels up and down.
Neither smart nor practical, reloading those balista is going to require a ladder. Sure it's a cool build but there's so much left to be desired here. It's a step in the right direction tho.
I'm pretty sure you started to build step pyramid but stopped before it became too pyramidal...
how do you float? im retarded i installed it yesterday but will play tonight.
I'm one of those lazyasses that don't have that much patience and time to grind for metals/stone for all this beautiful buildings, and LMAO, literally you can turn on FREE BUILDING, it's here lazyasses, right there, use it, noone gives a shit about how fair you play, this is a GAME that must be FUN

min 10:07 frenesi moment
Indeed.
All this pieces to defend from what?
Stone is easy to get tons of, and this isn't even a mega build.
I hope this can be played on Android
why?
You would have to probably have portals to 3 plains to do this which isnt the craziest thing to do in valheim by a longshot but still annoying. Youre also using build mode so nothing here is practical
bro dont offset his walls oof
That amount of stone is pretty far from practical, would have to mine out an entire different seed's mountains lol

ua-cam.com/video/G-3TuqOXj9w/v-deo.html
no far from. the stone usage is relative low, its the iron and tar thats expensive
does he know that ballistas will shoot the player if they walk in front of them? smart and practical doesn't seem so...smart. or practical.
🤓
The entrance is downstairs, the ballistas are for the NPCs. They will come up and want to go up the stairs.
but if you step outside that entry channel-like to go harvest stone or grab some food you see in the landscape-you will get shot by the ballistae. Cool design, but nothing about this seems "practical" from a survival standpoint.
