Another wonderful video from a very talented film maker. The zoo grounds are absolutely beautiful. The gorillas are living life as a happy family and their interactions and movements are so organic and natural.
I just read that many zoos and animal parks are very low in revenue due to COVID - 19 shutdowns. The sad part is that attendance is still down and that means some may have to close without an increase in attendance.
I know that people all over the world have been affected by the pandemic. We all may be low in our personal revenue due to layoffs, medical bills, increase in prices for food and other necessities. People are facing evictions, repossessions, and many other problems. (In the last downturn in 2008 I was laid off and unable to quickly find another job. I came within 15 minutes of being thrown out into the street. It was awful.)

A beautiful comment, thanks! The zoo has a hard time with covid-19 and it's seccond wave. You can see it was very quiet. It's sad for them, I just pray and hope the gouvernement will help them.

WOW!!! The Zoo Antwerpen is really really awesome. I bet if you really take a tour n wanting to see the whole zoo, one day too isn't enough. I really enjoyed looking at the neautiful n colourful flowers n the way they're arranged. As for the Gorillas, I really enjoyed seeing their huge indoor and outdoor enclosure. Thanks for cheering me up too.

Edit: A little bit information for the people from abroad, the first building you see (with the towers) at 1:31 is our wonderful central train station of Antwerp. It is named in ceveral lists of the most beautiful train stations all over the world. And we from Antwerp are really proud of it, as you can tell ;-)

Fabulous video, Lieke! I always feel like I’m so close to my beloved orangutans and gorillas when I watch your videos. The baby is getting nice and big and looks so healthy. I noticed his little feet are pink on the bottom. Do you know why his skin is that colour? Is that normal? I assumed it is.
The zoo is gorgeous and the landscaping is very pretty. Really appreciate all your efforts in editing and you do a fantastic job, very professional.

Hi! Thanks for the lovely comment ;). The baby's skin is indeed normal. She just hasn't got that much pigment ;). Gorilla Damsi (born October 2018) also has a pink tumb ;).

What are they eating in the beginning of the video.?
Thanks Lieke ! Do you know how many times a day they are fed ? They seem to be really hungry . What is the white stuff they are eating, onion, potatoes ? 🌹
Haha they are always like food. They get food 4 times a day ;). So they get plenty ;). The white stuff is chicory I guess. They get different vegetables every day of the week :).

Your video's are fantastic thank you.I have a question about the new baby,her feet on the bottom are they just splotchy color or are there sores on them 😔?
They naturally have some pigment missing.
Indeed what Brown Rabbit says. She's not hurt ;). She just hasn't for that much pigment. Gorilla Damsi (born 2018) also haa a pink/white tumb. I know more Gorilla's with less pigment. Thanks for watching!
