I can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting for somebody to make this video.
I built two very similar Warmoth Strat builds this year, which were heavily inspired by Rivers’ guitar.
10-16” compound radius is Warmoth’s standard / default. Ken Warmoth invented the compound radius (conical shaped fretboard) so they used that as a default on all their strat necks. You can still order a continuous radius, if you want, but that option would have to be changed from the default.
And both bands are touring together this summer.

I just posted a video on his Strats
The original blue and green guitars were alder. The blonde and black guitars were maple. They were used live for E standard songs on the Green Album.
I think the assumption of the fingerboard radius comes from the fact that Warmoth currently has those compound radius specs on their necks. Perhaps they did back then too.

Something to note: The photo of the replica you used got one thing wrong. The knob for the black ice module is labeled "Volume", but the volume control has a knob that says "Master" on it
The photo shows “volume” for both, which is what Rivers had. Mike (the creator of the pictured replica) has a “Master” knob on his personal Blue Strat copy. It is debated that Rivers didn’t even use the black ice module.

Great video man! Though at 9:44, why did you make this part to unnecessarily long? You could've just said: "both guitars were blue, had a Seymour Duncan pickup in the bridge, reportedly had sperzel tuners, covered in stickers at one point, had clones made for the original player, have a cult-like following among fans, etc etc...

Rivers didn’t order/build blue. It was the previous guitarists (before brian) custom build and after his departure he just let rivers keep it.
It says here jason cropper's strat was the red one. This cuomocaster is the blue
@@richkentbondoc5206- He may have been choosing to be cagey about it, but in an interview/lead guitar analysis with that guy Schifflett from Foo Fighters, when asked about the guitar Rivers said that Cropper had specced it and that he wasn’t entirely sure what-all was in it, just that he’d liked his guitars. Then again, in other interviews he says that the “Weezer” sound is actually Ric Ocasek’s guitars, even to this day, either a Jaguar (I think) on Blue or a Gibson Les Paul Jr. What was stunning to me was the revelation that there’s never been, not even offered to him, a Rivers Cuomo signature guitar. This is such a bizarre fact to me, as there’s not one “signature” anything I’d be more interested in than something like that, given that I don’t have any signature anything gear.
