@@ConstructIQ there's so many variables, you can come up with a number that would be an average but not obsolete

@@Assertiveman Are you talking about top-down estimating? It's fast but innacurate. As opposed to bottom-up, where you perform a detail calculation

Well it depends on the situation. If I’m budget pricing I’m not going to put a bunch of effort into hard, precise budget. Have you ever seen budget for a 10 million dollar project??

I agree, don't give up brother construction can be really lucrative but profitable @@ConstructIQI used to work for multimillion dollar contractor, the superintendent always mentioned labor is where youll lose money that's why tbh I feel like skilled labor should be a trade because it involves a lot if you just hire a guy who you think going to the manual work you really have to super vise how efficient they are, if they wasting more time then being productive, and speak up when they aren't holding their skill set to a high standard them while working because each trade has slackers mid IQ you really have to watch the, tbh I thought of a solution to this problem hiring a 3rd party to set cameras on the job site to ensure people aren't taking opportunity for granted its a company I'm working on actually I hope to get contracts from contractors restaurants malls, having someone watch people on the back end is necessary if you care about your business because you can't just trust people's word when your business on the line you gotta be patient with the apprentices though they are working towards becoming journeyman sometimes it may not look like they are doing a lot but they are learning but if they continue the behavior I say for 2 weeks probably best to let them go of thinking they got their work cut out from them, you give 97% a chance and they bite the hand that feeds them because they don't have discipline because they aren't mature, imagine how much money you would make if you had the guts to confront all those people and fire them but also too people are human imagine a guy who takes initiative and gets more work done by trying hard, Don't get salty with those people especially if they are reliable just because they aren't producing the same work as they did when they got hired give them seniority because they did extra work, because myself I always came in to a job having a really high IQ and learning stuff fast, if one guy can produce the work of 3 people that's the guy that you want coordinating because more then likely that person actually cares about the job
