How to make a Toilet Paper Tower

- I think by now, we all know about the "trying times" and our lives have been inconvenienced more than we had anticipated. I know mine has!
I wanted to build something that was a little bit of a joke, as many people are still having trouble finding Toilet paper. I thought to my self, what is everyone doing with their stockpiled toilet paper?
So I made a Toiler paper Tower, something to hold and organize your Toilet Paper while still.
I built this using some scrap wooden slats from an old bed, starting off by gluing op the boards so that I got the width I needed.
Next after planing the wood, I should have sanded it, but I did that at the end. I measured a roll of my triple-ply plush TP giving me my overall width and depth. I decided to store 4 rolls and then using 1 would be ideal.
I had intended to drill a 1 1/4" hole through one board and partially though the next but in my haste realized that I had the boards facing the wrong direction, so I just went all the way through.
I went with simple glued and nailed mitred joints that were less than simple to nail together, If you happen to have a nail gun then you won't have any issues. I, unfortunately, do not so I struggled.
Since I didn't have any round stock that matched any of my Forstner bits I took the closest scrap closet rod and reduced it on the lathe.
After a coat of Tung oil, it was finished!
I hope you enjoyed the project, and please stay safe!

Hello my friend. This is a great project. Practical and fully homemade. I watched you curiously. The Toilet Paper Tower work well. Perfect work and ideas all the time. Congratulations. Thank you for sharing.
I wish you healthy days. Great greetings. See you.
Thank you my friend, I also received your sticker. I need to clean my shop and start a sticker wall :)
@@heyimamaker I'm glad you got my label. I'm waiting for your tag too. When we create the sticker wall, we can see the labels. Thank you. Great greetings.
The opening clips of your sketching out the plan looked is very clever. I compliment you on going old school. It was nice to watch someone use a hammer and nails. The end results looks very nice, sir!!
Thank you! I realized now that I sort of have an intro format so from time to time I like to draw out what I will be making. And I like to leave it out of focus so no one can see my terrible drawing and writing 😆
I really love the opening shot of your brilliant ( I still want one) pencil case and sketchbook. It's great to see some one still making physical sketches of projects, no just throwing together a plan in sketch up ( _I'm guilty of that_ ). The final project looks brilliant 😅
Thanks Dean!
I love the pencil box, and want to try a box joint version whenever I end up with a flat tooth saw-blade :)
Nice editing and glad you kept the nails bending, the struggle is real
Lol, third time is the charm!
Well done, Adam...well done!
Thank you my friend!
This is like ASMR but 1000 times less creepy. It's great.
Haha, ASMR is creepy! I could always voice over and whisper what I’m doing :)
Hey I'm a Maker PLEASE DO
Excellent vid Adam, I really enjoy your take on story-telling and presentation. And thanks for leaving in the Saga of the Bendy Nails - I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person in the world who doesn't have a whizzy compressed-air nail gun. Cheers mate.
Lol, the nail gun would have made things a lot faster, I had to disassemble off camera to fix it all. But I’m not sure I have scene a nail on UA-cam for quite some time.
Hey that's awesome! Nice work!
Thanks! How’s the toilet paper supply in your neck of the woods?
Simple yet effective, looks good!
Glad you like it!
Nicely done! Finished piece looks great... that nail was giving you a horrible time. You stayed calmer than I would have haha 😤😂
third or fourth time was the charm 😆
Love this video! I need a lathe so bad. You make it look easy my friend🤙🏻
Keep an eye out for the old ones, I paid $150 this one with a set of lathe chisels. Probably one of the most enjoyable and frustrating tools I have.
That's nice and tidy.
Thanks!
Very artistic Adam, nicely presented video. Bog roll seems to be the in thing lately 🤔🤣
It’s definitely in shot supply, although I haven’t had any problems finding it :)
It really is funny my friend 😊 I built something similar just before everyone emptied the local shops and had nothing to put it on it 😁 ॐ
Nice build! Up next - how to make your own toilet paper...because it's STILL hard to find lol
Lol, I have found that paper towels are hard to find, but they still restrict the number of TP packs you can purchase.
@@heyimamaker We lucked out on our last trip to Sam's - found TP and paper towels!
Cute dog at 2:30! I am glad I am not alone in being unable to hammer in nails! lol Nice tower btw
haha, that nail was not cooperating for me at all!
Those stingy nails! Lol 3rd time's the charm
Hard to call them finishing nails when you can't finish pounding them in :)
Hi , Interesting vid👍❤️💐 , keep go , Lik 5, s + 1 , Let's be in touch👍❤️
