hello! what is the difference between preparatory subject matter classes and GE classes? Also, do electives satisfy your GE requirements?
Hi Olivia! I have been loving your videos! I am registered for a class in Haring Hall and then ten minutes right after that I have a class in Giedt Hall. I'm going to be bringing a bike but do you think I'll have a problem getting to class on time? I've also heard some professors let their classes out a couple minutes early.
thanks for watching my videos! :) you should have no problem! Haring and giedt are actually pretty close to each other so even walking you'll get there with time to spare :)

Your videos have been really helpful. I am just a little worried as my pass 1 and pass 2 registration are on Aug 17th and Sept.1st respectively. I am afraid I may not be able to register for the lower division Stats and Accounting courses. Should I email my adviser now to secure a spot or wait till I arrive the campus?
I would just wait. if you don't get into the class pass 1 or pass 2, during pass 2 you can wait list the class. during the first 2-3 weeks SO MANY people switch their class schedules, so spots will constantly be opening up. just wait for now would be my advice :) also, they offer beginning stats every quarter, so even though youll most likely get in fall quarter, theres always winter and spring to take it :) totally ask your orientation leader and counselor once you get to Davis if you're still concerned though

I have a question. If I am undeclared/exploratory in College of Agriculture and Environmental Science, do you think it would be hard for me to switch to a major of biotechnology? Would it be hard to switch to a Psychology major?
I'm not sure how difficult it is switching into the College of BioSci specifically, but it was an easy process for me to switch out and into psych. Definitely go talk to a counselor about it so they can get you on the right track in case there are any required courses for you to take before you can transfer. Also, I didn't submit my paperwork to switch until I finished spring quarter freshman year, so don't stress too much about getting it done immediately :)
