Love this! I worked one summer at the Friendly’s on Jericho Tpke opposite Jericho Terrace. I also went to the same college as the founders of Friendly’s. Loved the Fishamajig. So so food and good memories.
"Bad food, but just so good". That's so true! My family is from the Pittsburgh area and we had Eat 'n Park. Same kind of thing. The smiley cookies are legendary ❤ THANKS for anther great video. You guys are fantastic, my best to Frank 🐶
How did I not know you are from Long Island?! 🤦🏻♀️ I knew I liked you guys ha! I’m in Smithtown - they closed all but one Friendlies near me but it’s still hanging on and we still go! That honey bbq melt OMG 😆 great video guys 😊 Lovin the shirt Jay chose to wear
Both of us LI born & raised- we moved to Florida only 2 years ago :) That's great you can still go, I never want to see the day when they are no longer around. Thanks so much for watching!
Oh my how cool thank you guys Friendly's is on of my favorites here in nj too always there they did close 2 down but we still have a few.. foods ok ice creams yummy great review guys so happy lol I think well go this weekend my to go too is also turkey melt and that sundae... chocolate chip mint was my fav flavor too. I have the shoes to match Jay's shirt from disney Sam I must say your beautiful ❤
Can you guys please review Skyline Chili in Winter Garden? I’m originally from Cincinnati & this is comfort food to me! It’s not typical chili in a bowl…it’s definitely different but soooooo good & the cheese coney is the best! Also the 3way with or without onion is the way to go. We always have to have this when we go home to Cincinnati & now we can have it when we visit Disney! The best of both worlds.😊
In Upstate NY we also grew up with Friendy's. Our last location closed prob 5 yrs ago, but we haven't been in at least 15 yrs. Jay's sundae is exactly what I would want, that PB sauce is perfection. Nostalgia is always so comforting ❤ Love this vlog.
Long Islander here too - Carvel and Friendly’s were staples of childhood summers (more so Carvel for us, but we did indulge in some Friendly’s sundaes too!)
Holy cow, I haven’t been to a Friendly’s since college! 🤩 We had two locations very near my campus in New Jersey. Didn’t realize that they were still opening new locations! You hit the nail right on the head, the food is generally very mid, but the experience is crazy nostalgic. Glad you had a good experience with mostly high numbers! Food is definitely interpersonal. Mini mozz sticks for the win!!! Great video you guys, hope you’re doing well ✨
We were so surprised to hear they are still opening up spots, we definitely assumed the opposite was happening 😂 It’s far from gourmet but the nostalgia factor is still there ✨ We hope the mini mozz sticks never go away! Thanks for watching, it was nice to hear from y’all and hope you’re gearing up for all the spooks 👻
As always, great video guys!! I never had heard of Friendly’s until I married my wife who is from Pa. We visited it every time we were up from SC, but it closed down like 5 years ago. I may have to stop by Friendly’s next week, while we are in Disney for my Birthday. The grilled cheese looks delicious!
Ohmygosh!!! I use to work in one back in 1990- 1992 ish. Mine was in Jersey. My favs was chicken quesadilla and Happy Ending original every once in awhile I like the fish sandwich and this is where I learned about the patty melts. Tips where like 1.00 a table LOL!!!!! Unfortunately they closed that one down. So so surprised that this one popped up. Lota of new things on the menu. Well be going there at our next Dinsey visit. I must show my husband my nostalgia. Thank you for sharing this.
I have so many memories of Friendjys in Westchester County NY in the 1990s! The Peanut Butter Cup Sundae and the turkey super melt was my order! The Fribble! So fun!! 🎉
I love Friendly's! It’s a Massachusetts staple too. We used to have a bunch but most closed, except for the one in my town. I love the honey bbq super melt. And the Reese’s pieces sundae. Yum!
Great video! And you are absolutely right about your marking system. You cannot mark somewhere like this on the same scale as Narcoossees. Everywhere has to be marked for the type of place it is. ❤
Who doesn’t love good nostalgia, comfort food. Not the best food in the world, but sometimes you need just greasy OK food lol ours closed a few years ago so I haven’t had friendlys in years
Not from LI, but Mass Our tiny mall had two Friendly’s in it. There were so many on the Cape. But the last one closed in 2020, and is now a bank. Reese’s (cup or pieces) sundaes were the best.
I live on the west coast so I've never seen friendly's but it seems like a denny's lunch vibe, sometimes you need some fried food and ice-cream Love your vids!
As you know (mentioned here and on FB) I just moved from Boston. And I absolutely thought this was only a MA restaurant, had no idea until you put this video up, that it it was a chain all over lol. ( Just joined your membership, love your content and I hope we can get together sometime
Friendly's is my childhood (grew up in New England). It was THE place to go after the game, concert, recital etc. to celebrate. Love their ice cream. I guess it's true that everything comes back around in time. Will have to swing by for nostalgic purposes. Did you happen to notice if they have any half gallon containers of ice cream for sale to take home?
Yes!!! My elementary school was across the street and everybody would go to Friendly's after the school concerts- it was the place to be. I'd give anything to relive those times. I don't recall seeing the take home containers.
Friendlys originated in Wilbraham/Springfield MASSACHUSETTS, and they have managed to close one down in every corner throughout Springfield MA, because of there horrible service and food quality just gone down hill, not to mention overpriced now, for poor quality food. I remember as a teenager in Springfield Mass. literally a restaurant in like every neighborhood. Now there’s only one left by Wilbraham, one in Chicopee and another in Agawam. Oh and down the road further there’s one in Enfield CT. On another note Central Islip baby over here!!
If you are at Disney Springs arriving by Disney transportation, can you walk over to Friendly’s safely? And I also like soft ice cream. After I dish it up at home, it goes into the microwave for 12 seconds lol
Love this! I worked one summer at the Friendly’s on Jericho Tpke opposite Jericho Terrace. I also went to the same college as the founders of Friendly’s. Loved the Fishamajig. So so food and good memories.
That's so cool!!! It's such a nostalgic place and I am so glad they stood the test of time.
I too live in Florida...I grew up on Long Island and my childhood Friendly's was on Larkfield Road in East Northport. Yeah it's comfort food for sure.
Glad we can still enjoy our childhood faves here in FL!!!
@@BaileyLovesMangos oh my gosh I’m in Smithtown but grew up in kings park and I was always hanging in East Northport! We use to be neighbors lol
Hi Sam and Jay!
There’s nothing better than nostalgic comfort food 😋
Great review as always 👍🏻
Thanks so much- it was such a fun review to do :)
So happy to hear Friendleys lives on in Orlando! We still have a few left up here in Pennsylvania!! Great review!!!!
Glad they're still in PA!! Thanks for watching :)
I’m eating Rita’s yet I’m drooling over the mint sundae. I also have the nostalgic feeling towards that ice cream.
I miss Ritas!!! The mint sundae is a classic, I'm so glad the Monster Mash lives on.

@@nannybeadling1227 We live just south of Pittsburgh & my kids always like the smiley cookies…me not so much!😂
@@kdash7 They used to taste and look much better. Back in the 80's they were like 6 inches across and frosted by hand.

Yes I agree Sam is gorgeous 😊
I am old and from New Jersey where I can’t find a friendlys anymore. I loved the food when I was young. After a movie night the place to go
It was a staple for us growing up!!
OMG this is so awesome. I used to love this place. They had them in every town in New England!
