Arguably the best living violinist (along with Hillary Hahn) playing the best movie theme (if not melody) ever written, inspired by an unforgettable story that came out of the ashes or WWII, is as poignant and powerful as music gets. Thanks John. Thanks Anne Sophie.
Well she really shows enormous feeling and understanding in this piece . In no other Schindlers List violin performance have I ever seen and heard is this done as well as she does here .Perlmans is amazing but the way Anne Sphie plays it ..... It is extremely moving .She could not play it like that unless it meant a lot to her.She was born post ww2 and to have this extent of feeling is really something .She must be a lovely person !
Waouh !
I'd say she was born auite later than the end of WW2 ... is she guilty for her fathers' sins and terrible acts? Are we carrying the burden of our ancestors' guilts? I think no...
Francesco Melis lol it's this whole trynig to unify and forget the past by doing what was not accepted in the past now to make up for their sins. Like white girls trying to date black girls in the USA
To "only the Best :P" Lol on you. The greatest and the most composers are Germans. John Williams, the film composer who wrote this piece has German roots. İtzhak Perlman who was privileged to play this piece first has German roots. Anne Sophie Mutter is the greatest violonist of the world and she is German. So leave the Germans in peace. They don't need you. "Only the best" - what a narcistic name.
lol nope not satisfied .. And who says I'm not.protesting about the other topics. They're all horrible. Find me on another vid protesting Stalin and what not. AND WOW u think 7 decades is a long time Sonny boy?? LOL take ur new liberal ass generation and fuck urself .
So much soul and love in her performance! I get a lump in the throat and tears in the eyes listening to this interpretation...

Thank you for playing!!
Nobody is talking about the phenomenal playing of the pianist?!!!!! This is a 11/10 performance!!! Who is she?
That's Lauma Skride from Latvia.
@@andyparal thanks for clarifying! 👌
Mutter is simply more interesting than any other violinist :)
I don't think she'd be as "interesting" without her especially special Stradivarius lol .
.CHEATING!! BUT STILL WINNING! ..
typical German
A violin is only as good as the person who plays. Cheating? How ignorant!
You dont know nothing about music.
Now i prefer Benedetti's version ua-cam.com/video/a6zl1hHIEYQ/v-deo.html&start_radio=1

She was married to a jewish man and her children visited a jewish kindergarten and a jewish school.
Mutter's violin emits a sweet sad and memorable sound than attaches to one's heart and remains there. Help us never to forget.
What a velvety sound full of true feelings that touch's ones soul and heart😢💔 the of the violin is as if it's mourning a loved one

Sie ist einfach super 🎻🎻🎻
AMAZING!
stunningly beautiful
Meine Lieblingsviolinistin spielt ein meiner Lieblingslieder.
Same
Ihr spielweise passt perfekt zum Stück!
Nice melody..
Thoughtful and moving interpretation for probably the sadist piece John Williams ever wrote.
Wunderschön
It's the best interpretation I've seen of this piece
Holy fuck
Wow from 3:37 that passage literally has no vibrato… what incredible sound manipulation from the right hand… pure tonal perfection
very good
Himmlische Anne - Sophie Mutter
the end very, very nice
Total maestría!!
Escepcional
Anne = sensitivity
Mutter = musicianship
😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Leider geil!
Impresionante Mutter
Fue nacida de la tierra... La belleza la creo
Mais qu’est ce que c’est faux!
mais pourquoi?

Ralf Kirchhoff I agree
better: no comment
his bow is not at 90' . MISTAKE ! :)
Most rarely are. Even the greatest.
I like Chloe Hanslip's playing of this better.
Just way too exaggerated
I know what you mean. Her version sounds like a gypsy song. I like Chloe Hanslip's playing of this better.
lol German people playing Schindler's list how out of place..
No, you are not yet forgive ahem
