One of the most beautiful modern melodies written for the violin … it truly brings out the lyrical magic of this instrument … and brings tears to the eyes

I’ve heard this played by many different violinists and each time I say the last rendition was the best. But this time I think it’s true. Moving to the point of tears.

The first time i heard this piece of music i was driving and it started playing on the radio. I had not seen the film not sure i had even heard of it at the time. The day was warm and sunny and as it played i found myself crying and had to pull over. The most haunting piece of music i think i have heard, even today years later and having seen the film and listen to it a hundred times it still make me cry with both the joy of the music and the terrible events it represents

She's got tiny hands but still stretched to an incredible 8th or 9th position on the G string and perfectly in tune. That's a really brave thing to do on such a delicate piece in front of 6,000 people. Kudos...and a lovely, colourful, musical performance. Wonderful.

Finger stretching exercise's for years since she first started playing will do it. I'm sure she was told that she has small hands and that shouldn't dissuade her from playing. Desire, persistence does pay off.

For me, the defining rendition of Schindlers List Chloe has such a unique understanding of this piece. Fabulous bowing, phrasing, sparing use of vibrato plus semi staccato type phrase end notes. Chloe does not wallow in sentimentality with buckets of rubato thrown in rather she let’s the natural dynamics of the piece flow unhindered. Never a dry eye for me. Wonderful

To all the beginner violinists out there,Chloe's bowing is just about perfect in legato using the entire bow to get a seamless sound between the notes(which I think is the key to this piece producing that yearning mournful sound;the notes seem to just flow into each other;of course perfect intonation helps!! Its hard, but practice is the key.You can do it!! Dan.

Stunning performance! For some reason only this version brings me to tears each time I listen to it. Chloe's performance is not technically the most accurate, but her playing unlike others just hits me to the core..

Every bit of her performance of this masterpiece by John Williams is perfect and it has so much detail in it!! This is my favorite version apart from the original one by Isaac Perlman!

I can only think of the word “anguish” listening to her interpreting what feels like the only theme there could be for this tragedy of man’s history, as I felt also reading the stories of Etty Hillesum, Victor Franklin, Edith Stein, Saving the Jews, Magda Hellinger, Elie Wiesel, and even Dietrich Bonhoeffer. God forgive us.
