Just realized I’ve been watching this cat do standup for 8 years. Back then he was impossible to search for online because there’s like 42,000 people named ‘Josh Johnson’… love his success for so many reasons, including the fact that he is much easier to Google now.

I appreciate Josh pointing out federal workers don’t get paid during government shutdowns. One of my family members / parents is a federal employee and this was the exact concern for this past week, it’s easily one of the most annoying things about working for the government and makes it difficult for families just trying to go about their lives together. Unfortunately no one ever thinks about it.
Politicians should. I felt like last time when Trump shut it down that the Republican party should have been sued by a collective of the government workers. It's absolutely disgusting to hold all those workers to ransom for a political party to get what it desires. I can't believe any of them actually voted Republican after that.
I think it ought to be added to the ballot for 2024 at the national level. If government shuts down, NOBODY in Congress gets one dime and their insurance coverage gets shut off until the government is up and running. When my spouse was a teacher on strike decades ago and I was very pregnant the school district was going to shut off our health insurance. Let all the dirtbag millionaires sitting in Congress deal with that.
Yeah, the senate and Congress shouldn’t get paid. Of course, they wouldn’t pass that law, would they? People should protest and force it.

Took an 8 hour flight next to an off duty pilot once ( in between shifts driving the thing), he drank with suicidal determination, like he hated his liver….
This "thirsty" pilot joke had me cracking up when I was exiting the plan. The pilot was just standing there. 😂

Josh was always hilarious but he is working his way to being one of the greats. Who else putting out this much new material this consistently. And REAL material, some of these comics can’t even put out new crowd work every week

I was fortunate to meet this young man Wednesday October 4th on the C train….. couldn’t believe it…..very humble mild mannered gentleman. I told him I check him on UA-cam on the regular. God Bless him. I would like to know where he performs so I can see him again.

Side note for context: In some places like Europe (but not the US) the plane is allowed to land itself on autopilot. In the US autopilot is turned off 50 feet above the ground.

@@devaapurna608 Most planes are still landed without autopilot as long as the weather conditions allow it. Also not every airport is suitable for autolands.

@@atheisticcreature Indeed, also no matter how well you code something it's never as capable as a human to reacting to unexpected things. I watch Mentour Pilot and the amount of times the damage to the plane makes it take false sensor readings and the pilots had to compensate for that or override it is pretty high.

Tbh being a pilot is so stressful, your flying 300 soul's through the air at 600mph and theres a pilot shortage so theyre working alot. Im suprised some of em can even do it sober. Bcuz Sober Pilots did not win WW2 😂

I've been working on aircraft for thirteen years, and I can one hundred percent say that all that stuff does work. All the switches, knobs, boxes, computers, etc, all work. They definitely have no business being drunk and high trying to fly those things! The only reason they do is to cope with the immense amount of pressure and anxiety they feel having the lives of others in their hands.......

LOVE your comedy. Been watching for years. I got a Taco Bell story. For 30 years I quit eating it. I mean, WTF IS Taco Bell??? Then last summer I got an invite to my 50 year High School Reunion...a tiny school in the middle of an Indiana Cornfield. I hadn't seen anyone since I graduated. I didn't go but got in touch with the person in charge. Carol sat in front of me in most of my classes. SHE was the Taco Bell Chef. Those were HER secret recipes.

As someone who've worked at LGA ( LaGuardia Airport) and closely with pilots, these past couple of years, and as one of them, from the same truck driving school, has told me? The planes fly and land themselves. The pilots only take off.. So you are correct about the planes "flying themselves".. 😂😂😂
can confirm. i worked in autopilot and unmanned aviation software and the pilots are there as a backup for the autopilot system

This is true. I have partied with a retired air force pilot who flew for delta (he is now also retired from delta, but was still flying at the time). From him I learned the term "12 hours bottle to throttle" and he was dead serious about it (thankfully!). Dude knew how to party for sure.

Honestly, before my epilepsy hit me, I had flown a couple planes and they are pretty easy. They weren't commercial jets but the landing was the hardest part and it's just a little nerve-racking not too bad or hard at all.
