- Ever been in a "prog" in The Elder Scrolls Online and wondered WHY it takes you 6 months to learn ONE fight? Why people recycle players left right and centre constantly trying to force a triangle into a square hole and trying to figure out HOW you could make the process so much faster? Instead of cutting off your nose to spite your face and assuming EVERYTHING is about "high dps parsing", before even setting FOOT into the content and actually being confronted with mechanics?
So much time is wasted with fluff, when all you REALLY need to do is GET in and start PRACTISING as a group! Sitting in a NSFW discord channel every day mite be fun for your lunch breaks at work, but when you get your REAL "free time" do you really want to waste that with nothing to show for it?
Today i demonstrate the clear results of how your gameplay time SHOULD be spent and what you can get from it...
Ninjas (aka the audience on twitch) join me from time to time ON stream when i call for it. I say "first come first served" when i call for people to join me in game, and i will literally take the FIRST whispers that i receive and go straight into content. 9x out of 10 they don't even know what i am going to be doing, they just know i require people, for fun!
SO ANYONE could join at ANY time! Good players, bad players, new people, experienced people, nice people, trolls...I could literally be served with ANY outcome or combination of people.
I don't ask for specific builds, just "insert role here" so i can comprise the group at least to have tanks and healers etc (Spoiler we had ONE healer).
While i live stream i am CONSTANTLY talking to the audience CONSTANTLY explaining things in a quick, digestible, simple manner so that the entire audience can learn together. Without wasting their time with pipe dreams about DPS checks before even knowing what to expect mechanically.
In this section of my Twitch live stream, you get to see the AUDIENCE kill VAS+2 (Veteran Asylum Sanctorium Hard Mode) and get their silver skins, in ONE attempt, with NO WIPES and, it was their FIRST TRY!
At LEAST 75% of the group have never ever seen THIS fight before. They have seen +0 and they have prior to this fight seen the Nightblade boss in +1 ONCE! Just ONCE, one run before hand!
This is how you make progress, THIS is how fast learning and gelling should be and THIS is why it should take NO one, no matter how good they claim to be, 6 months to kill a boss. It's not that the content isn't difficult, it is, but a lot of the issue is not necessarily down to player ABILITY and more about STRATEGY.
Constantly obsessing over the PERFECT setup making your self less useful in your position rather than playing the mechanics and then altering over time as you get better, is the issue.
Everyone's first clear is the scariest one, and if you think your "gear" is the problem, you don't understand the game as much as you think you do. There are ways to optimise your own composition per fight depending on how the group wants to play if you are already good at content. But if you are not, then you need PRACTICE first, and worry about contributing variables to your SPEED later.
The only thing that will be fast if you try to start stuff that is difficult, too squishy, is your death and disappointment. World records are great to want to strive for, but you are never going to get your foot off the ground if you don't start from the beginning, take less short cuts, and focus on the basics. Then when you're GOOD at the basics, THEN your confidence will be higher and THEN you can start adding more spice to the recipe ...
Mechanics first, improvement later! Understand how things work, apply yourself, and confidence with do the rest. "Progress" is moving forward, not being stuck forever in one place repeating the definition of insanity and wondering why nothing changes, it's #allaboutmechanics !

This was incredible! It's really sad that the true final boss of the most challenging organized content is ignoring Gatekeepers who are very good at discouraging and confusing the strategy. Learn from other people practice in your group, and do what works for you guys. This is awesome! Just a little bit of patience. A lot of the times people have already invested two to three hours in something anyway and then everybody's going to say we need to end this in
30 seconds instead of 5 minutes at the risk of throwing it all down the drain?!
