My husband and I went to Disney word in March 2018, a month before we were set to move to Chicago IL from South Carolina. I was massively pregnant, not due until May 21 (ended up being emergency induced a week after we got to Chicago) I had severe complications, I looked like I was having twins, I had 2 1/2 gallons of excess fluid and for my DR to allow me to travel and go to Disney, he requested I stay in a wheel chair the entire time. We were at MK and stayed the entire day until after the fireworks. When we were leaving the park, obviously it’s extremely crowded after the fireworks and people running/walking everywhere. This woman speeds around my husband, not realizing that he was pushing me. Well the foot petals hit her ankle, and she turns around and looks at me and says “bi**h, watch where you’re going fat a**...” I cried and cried and cried. Had my husbands mom not been there with us and calmed my husband down, he probably would have been arrested that night.
I just went to disneyland recently and the pirates ride was super backed up so I think they like, added boats to get more people through it at once. Normally it's like, you go through and you can't really see the other boats, but this one time it was like being on boat-bumper cars, the ride was like twice as long as normal--but we got to sit down and it was colder than outside, so my party was good with it.
My husband and I just went to Disney world for the first time this year for our honeymoon. We had the broken ride thing happen to us the entire time we were there. All the rides just kept breaking down. We saw the inner workings of Pirates because the ride broke down and we were evacuated out of it. We still had a great time we just felt like we were bad luck or something but I guess rides breaking down is pretty normal.
Last summer we went to Disneyland for the day and I got yelled at for taking a table the table we where at didn’t have an umbrella so I was like oh let’s take the one with an umbrella and the guys where moving gates to make more tables and the lady was like omg that was rude we where gonna take that table, and I was like oh sorry I didn’t see you there and there where literally like 10 other open tables 😒
I hate entitled people like that! We're going to Disney in March and I'm preparing myself for the rude people lol, cause so many think that they should get whatever they want even though they have no right to it!
Our amusememt Park happening still amuses us to this Day and it was like 20 yrs ago. My Sister my mom and me were at a movie park/Film studio. We were waiting for one attraction in a huge line. My Sister was Holding the camera. My mom goes to the bathroom. My Sister said to me 'go hold the camera' and i think she's just lazy and say 'Heck no'.... then she goes down. I'm like kinda helpless but ppl in line were super awesome so there was paramedics with us within seconds. They go and carry away my sister. I'm staying standing there and have no clue what to do. At that Moment my mom Come back and just Sees strangers carrying away her daughter and is like wtf.... My sister got taken care of and still remembers today that she had to eat her all-time-hate-food because that was what They had there while propping her back up.... On another occasion she fainted right onto a McDonalds serving tablet...
Haha! We just went to Disney in March and no joke it stopped again to let a disabled person on right as we were going backwards, tipped wayyyy back. I swear it never fails lol. Luckily it didn't actually break down this time and we were able to successfully use our fast passes!
TheNightOwl I am glad you figured out your fast passes :) I have only gotten stuck on Haunted Mansion and I have been to the park tons of times (I live in central Florida ). Lol Maybe third times a charm?
I mean, the first story - I can’t really feel bad... it kept breaking down you shoulda just cut and run. If something was breaking down every other hour I wouldn’t try and get on it.. because it’s probably gonna break done.
I live in SoCal- I’m preparing to visit a college friend who relocated to Winter Haven- and he would love to take me to Disney World for several days. I love DISNEYLAND, but DISNEY WORLD is much bigger, it’s the busy season, and it’s hot and extremely humid in Florida right now. A water park sounds amazing🥳Thoughts/advice? EDIT: Blowing hot air on you?? They don’t do that at Disneyland! Plus you should have received free admission for next visit to Disney after that Haunted Mansion nightmare!
Go to Blizzard Beach! My fave Disney waterpark! Also I had a water bottle that misted me haha and that was nice. Also in Magic Kingdom we love doing the Tiki Room and Carousel of Progress when it's super hot out.
That's annoying - I've seen everyone sent away once in the day and it re-open for good a little later, but never so much! But did actually break down though when you were on it? It has to stop intermittently to allow guests with disabilities on. As you say, when they send everyone away it has broken down for real, but if they left you on it was more likely a stop for wheelchair users unless for a ridiculous amount of time. It was a shame you were turned away right at the front door though as you were on course to see the little intro right from the start, which is quite rare as they time it so it begins about 20 seconds after the group is let in meaning the ones at the back of the group miss it completely at times.
Oh maybe they were letting someone on! It stopped and a voice came over that said something but I don't fully remember what it said. I remember "Please remain seated..." and that's about it. It honestly wouldn't have surprised me if the ride stalled again! It seemed to be a re-occuring issue, but it could very well have been what you said.
PLAYFUL SPOOKS HAVE INTERRUPTED OUR TOUR. PLEASE REMAIN SEATED IN YOUR DOOMBUGGIES PLEASE - WE WILL CONTINUE OUR TOUR MOMENTARILY. Something like that unless it's been updated! I don't think I have had many rides where it hasn't stopped to be honest, it's one of the flaws of permanently moving rides when those with lesser mobility want to get on...
In 1969, on returning from my first tour in Korea with the Army, I went to Disneyland. For some reason, one of the Mickeys started harassing me, dancing around me and poking me with his big plastic hands, to the point that I finally just laid him out. I got to see the tunnels under the Magic Kingdom, and I was informed I was banned from Disneyland for life. I have no regrets at all. Knocking out that Mickey Mouse is one of the high points of my life. 8-)
I got assaulted by a lady and then she pressed charges on me saying I got her. 8 year Disney vacation veteran and club member. Haven't gone back since

had it been any other amusement park other than Disney people would have torn it apart.
Lmfao the Haunted Mansion ride broke down on my husband and I at the same place.

YES. That's definitely what happened then!
