- There weren't but 2 videos at the time of this upload on these particular headlights and they didn't really go in detail, so I made my own with everything you need to know! Simple and clean mod to change the whole front end of your car.

For anyone wondering about limited. I put these on my 2015 limited wrx and they fit and work. I have headlight light on dash now but lights work just the same as these in video👍 I can deal with that little light all headlight functions are there.

Looks clean. Definitely get those extra bolts in there for security though. My SubiSpeed ones were loose and it caused a lot of flickering on the road. Once I put all the bolts back, what helped secure it was actually putting some of that foam you use for AC window units on the bottom of the head light to keep it secure and resist the rattling over bumps. Great video!
Thanks for the comment. I think I'm missing that bolt because the hole is stripped. I've never had any problems with any of the headlight that I ran.
So can you put in a upgraded led headlight? Since this system is sealed unlike factory assembly
I wish they made a set for the base STI with the LED bulbs. Would love to have these.

I like the video a ton. It would've been perfect on review if you included a light comparison against a wall of some sort. Maybe having the left light be one and the right light being the other and having them side by side to compare light output. Still great tho and thank u for the vid!

Nope, they stay on and look like this straight out of the box.

Just put these lights on my car. Bought them from pro tuning lab. I have a 2020 wrx premium. When I bought them it said 2015 to 2019 but I dont see why they wouldn't work. All in all, I have everything wired up correctly I believe. Everything works except after I start my car and drive for a few minutes and driver side bulb goes out..any ideas?

Could be a different number of pins on the 2020. I believe these only work on the 15-17, I think 18 up uses more pins on the headlight connector.
Quick question bro . I have these on my 2017 wrx they worked great for 3 months but my left headlight the high beam flap get stuck open. So for me to get the high beam flap on the left side to close o have to tap the light a couple times and then it closes lol. They still work fine except for that little problem. Was wondering if anyone has the same issue and if so how did you fix it . Or if I need to buy new ones . Still use them I just use my light bar as my “high beam “
I never heard of that issue. Have you tried contacting support to see if that’s fixable under warranty?
@@xsliick yea I did this morning still waiting for a response . I live in pa and it’s cold as a mofo during the winter so idk maybe it go frozen open? Lol either way hopefully I won’t have to get a new one

Yeah, any of the websites I listed are good to buy from. They quality is pretty good for the price.
How's the light output? And if I have aftermarket led low beam would they fit in the projector?
It’s not terrible but it could always be brighter. You can find some that fit, I’m just not sure which brand. I was going to go with Diode Dynamics.
Yeah light output on these isn’t the best since they use Halogen bulbs. I would swap over to some aftermarket led ones like others mentioned. You would just need to buy a kit that uses the same connector as the halogen bulb on these lights

I just installed them on my base model 2017 WRX. I love the look! Wayyy better than the stock plastic chrome ones. But the C lights are not the DRL as advertise. Did you have to mod these headlights to make them run the c lights? I thought I could live without them...but it's starting to bug me. Haha!
These ones weren’t modded. It was DRL for me out of the box. I know at one point they were out of stock everywhere. Maybe they changed the next batch up or something. I have more videos of a modded set if you were interested in that.
I just installed these and I’d have to manually turn on my DRL. However it’s weird that when my E-brake is down, my headlights are on regardless and I can’t turn it off
Just got a set for my 20 Premium and they do not DRL on Auto. I have turn on parking lights for just the C-Light. I'm wondering if there is a fix?

How do you adjust the headlight beams? I just installed these on my 2018 WRX and the beams are WAY off. I need help figuring this out.

Just installed these on my STI, but I got a “headlights disabled” error message on the dash? Trying to see if for some reason they are not compatible on my car. I have base model with factory 12 pin connector. Thanks
Did you have steering responsive headlights with your OEM?
Slick WRX No I don’t believe I did, I just have the base model 15 STI with factory halogen lights. I do have the height sensor if that makes a difference. I had the Subispeed V1 lights before w/no issues

@@fivescoopsalmon Not compatible on the STI or Limited. Believe these only work on the base and premium WRX. I did manage to get these to work on my STI though. Basically pulled up wiring diagram for stock STI headlight connector and compared the pins to the Akkon connector. There’s a few pins missing on the Akkon connector but the main one to get it to work is pin #7 for LED neg signal. I simply added a pin in the corresponding slot on each connector and grounded it. Error message cleared and lights function normally
@@fivescoopsalmon Forgot to mention that the newer STI headlight connector has more pins compared to the 15-17, so my fix might not work for you.

That would be sick! That’s something you’d have to ask a professional lol but I don’t see why not.

these fit WRX 2020? on the website it says 2015-2019
As long as your headlights aren’t steering responsive. If they are, you can run em’ but you’ll have a light on the dash.

Thanks for the quick response. I saw some Amazon reviews of people having the same problem. Only one of them actually called customer service and said that they didn’t offer much help. I’ll try to call them regardless. I really don’t want to take them out.
One more question...how do you adjust the beams? Do you turn the bolts near the main bulb compartment?
Yeah, it’s near the bulbs. One bolt is for the horizontal and the other is for the vertical. There’s a picture online on the ProTuningLab website I think.
