I approve this message!
Got 2 packs coming, been waiting since around February for them to come back in.
The irony is that many other broadhead companies are the real fairies 🧚♂️
Man, I've been out of the bow game for about 2 years now (injury) and I didn't even know you came out with your own broadhead. That's badass man and I'm glad you're still doing your thing!
Dang! Seriously, probably one of the most lethal heads. Momentum has to be off the charts for penetration at over 550 grains. Since I only draw 60-62#’s I wished they would sell a 150 grain for a slightly flatter trajectory. Love the bleeders.
They do have 150 grain broadheads
Instead of back beveling the head, if you make sure the coating is off the back side and lay it flat to cut the burr off you'll get down to double digits on that scale. Just try it and you'll see
Why didn’t you shoot TAC with mfjj and Tim?
That’s what I wanted to know
@@chrississon2646 I was pretty shocked when he agreed to do it… so not too surprising that he backed out
Because he can't shoot and didn't want to get embarrassed. I would've had more respect for him if he would've shown up, even if he missed every target.
I ordered a pack as well. I’ll be hog hunting primarily . I have already bareshaft tuned with the test kit. Best one was Supernova 250 spine, 100 gr insert, 200 grain point with a 60# 27” draw length , 26 1/4” arrow, nocturnal nock, and 3 Blaser vanes. Total arrow weight 620 grains. FOC 20%.
BTW, just went peepless and EZV sight. Somebody stop me😜
Oh you’re off the damn rails. Trying to simplify and be lethal and all that
It’s unacceptable. 🤣 😂
Bow hunting bass would be immoral; so I do like bass fishing bragging on a bow channel.
😂 I happen to be gifted and talented at making mistakes only my mistakes are better because mine can not be FIXED! Brilliant!
I'm glad you don't exercise censorship on your channel. The comments can be educational at times and somewhat entertaining when the jesters show up to dissent logic, reason and rational thought
I’ve seen a couple of the other Bowhunting channels with a “be nice or we won’t accept your comments” thing pop up. Like a warning label.
WOW! What a bunch of sissies. One guy is a weight lifting, tough guy.
How do you have a conversation if you don’t listen to other people. Also, I get some GREAT ideas from the clown car!!
Sending gas money going to give them a try thanks for your efforts
Shot the Gen 1s last year they were awesome!
Use the test clips they are more consistent than the just test media
Nice! I have been bare shaft tuning with several different bows and arrows. I just happen to like several different bows so my work load is higher. I enjoy it so no worries. I have two winners so far. Kodiak 225 gr. heads so 350 gr. tip with 125 gr adapters, standard inserts.. 28.75" 400 spine shoots awesome out of a 43#@ 27" ILF recurve. 640 grains total if I add the feathers. The other winner is a 60-65 # spine Doug fir with 225 up front bare shafting out of a bamboo hill style longbow. 50# @ 27". Around 600 grains total. I have two or three more that look promising. My compound set up is a 15 year old Mathews Switchback XT 60# at 28" with a 350 spine arrow and 250 grain grizzly heads using the V sight. The only thing missing is to actually kill something with these setups. lol
Bow string wax on the threads will keep then from unscrewing also
One anal question that I have, since the single bevel should cause the arrow to spin, what would that angle be in comparison to fletching helix? 😂
Insignificant. As long as the bevel matches the helical
Well, fletch is 3 degree or so
Bevel is 30.
Been obsessed with Turkey behind the boomstick, just got the Yak out for Largies 2nd time. Shrinktube collar Senko's and Squarebills are key. The hunt for pig Smallmouth begins next week. Thanks for reminding me to pickup the bow and start work🎯
Does indexing two blade broadheads vertically or horizontally matter for arrow flight? I’m not finding much on that subject.
@@christopherhyde_06
Bare shaft every arrow
Nock tune bare shaft every arrow
Then see
I have seen zero difference - but it takes me an hour to bare shaft a dozen
I need that Broadhead
send troy your $103 plus tax and shipping, but first slap yourself in the face a few times...
Good grief has bow hunting changed on me! Before my crash everything was lighter arrows, lighter broadheads, pins tight together, mechanicals only…now I recover enough to be able to hunt and everybody’s shooting telephone poles with claymores at the tip 😂
Oh trust me. 90% of them are still running twizzler sticks
They are good for 3-D! Penetration doesn’t matter on 3-D
1st! 13 seconds after upload, baby! 🎉😂
Congrats! Now with that off your bucket list what next?
@john1965411 Is there really anything more to be accomplished in life once one has been first to watch a RF video? I think not. My job here is done.
Hello Mr. Ranch Fairy! I love your channel, it's full of first hand info, backed by tons of data. I've got a question. I shoot a 67 pound compound ( Athens Ridge 32 ) 29" draw, and Ive switched to a different arrow setup. I went with a 27.5" Gold Tip Hunter XT 300, 50 grain Gold Tip inserts, and a 150 grain head. Shaft is 9.3 grains per inch. Anyhow, they fly and tune perfect. Just now, I screwed on a 200 grain head and they fly and tune just as well. My question is, in your opinion, if I impact bone with that arrow, and a 200 grain head, will the arrow be stiff enough to help drive the single bevel head through? Or should I back off and use the 150 grain head so it allows my shaft to be a bit stronger upon impact. Sorry for the long winded comment. Your insight would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you
Depends on the BROADHEAD!

This will be my first year hunting deer. I love your videos and how scientific you get and your love for the product. I want to get a single-bevel but I'm on a budget.
Check out Magnus' single bevel! Very affordable, and the customer service is one of the best in the industry
I've been hyped for deer season since Jan!
Do you think the blood rings really make much diffrence? Theyre so expensive for what they are.
@@tylerparker3024 nope
I was just playing with them
Question. I’ve been shooting the VPA 200 grain. What is advantage of the design of your point over the VPA chisel point
@@khrhunter tanto tip is heavily researched in Ed ashbys natal study.
He tested (if I remember correctly) 8 or 9 different points on heavy bone impact
Also - you ever see VPA test their own stuff or do they just make broadheads???
Answer is - they mostly don’t hunt or test.
But doesnt it only work on 25.9 gpi with 250 spine shaft? Do you stil have to bareshaft tune them on a water Buffalo?
what in the ass clown world does this comment mean in a broadhead review?
If we order them from sirius achery, are they sharp from you or from sirius
@@jamieshelton3570 Sirius sharpens and strops them for delivery
But ya beee to shoot at least one! Then learn to sharpen. I have a single bevel sharpening video on my channel
2:39 Well, you do have that going for you 🤣🤣🤣
Just a quick question…why did you get away from the 3:1 MA broad heads per Dr. Ed? I have the original 3” Tuff Heads and love’em. Keep up the great work educating bow hunters that actually can listen, think, and learn.
Hot test 'em!
RF go catch some big sand bass/striper hybrids. Caught an 11lb one 2 weekends ago. They put up one hell of a fight.
Are you dropping the 3 blade heads ? Love those ! Even more so when they were made outta S7. Just wanna make sure I have a few in stock if yer discontinuing them.
Love yer videos Troy ! Keep it up !
Looking forward to the pig murders. I can talk hunting, fishing, and Spongebob anytime. One of my favorite Sponge scenes is when Sandy and Spongebob are supposed to no longer do karate and they go on a picnic. Everything on the picnic reminds them of karate... youtube the scene. it's hilarious. No such thing as "too sharp" on the side edges, but there is definitely a "sharp enough" . I think the tanto tip is probably better at moderate sharp, because it is the bone splitter and edge curl on heavy bone strikes is not favorable. Your broadhead design looks amazing. I prefer an angled trailing edge for easier target removal, but I understand you want width and stay at the 200 grain weight. Looks tough as nails.
You need to build an off scale contraption to hold the broadhead. Wedging the tip and allowing arrow weight and any additional weight to be measured
My Mathews bow clocks left with a bare shaft. These are right bevel and would need right offset/helical on the fletching job to follow the bevel.
After watching Lancaster Archery shoot some arrows with different offset it was clear that the left clocking bow shooting right offset arrows, there was a period where the arrow had to adjust to rotate the non-natural direction. It was spinning to the right after it completely left the bow vs the left offset which started spinning left almost immediately.
Is that something you have tested? The field point showed under the high speed camera the slightest moment knuckle balling before it spun to the right, which I imagine would be exaggerated with a fixed blade broadhead like this one.
I bought them already and I totally forgot about the way my bow clocks.

I’ve not found it to matter that much
Lancaster “found out” something that has been known for ever. Interesting they just kinda decided it’s a thing!
@@RanchFairythanks for reaching out. I appreciate your dedication to answering the followers of your channel.
You should have named it fairy duster.
Not sure this is good enough for Javelina.....XD
I look forward to learning how to sharpen!
See my single bevel sharpening video with worksharp.
Question on the bleeders…I’ve always wondered (and I shoot iron wills solids with bleeders, but they are double bevel)
Don’t they bleeders effectively stop the S cut of a single bevel? It’s another plane coming in contact with tissue perpendicular to the main blade.
They are single bevel and back set
We haven’t seen any issues - been available for years now
Just received my RF 200Sb and I must say sharpen to razor edge out of the package I have a45 yard shooting lane with a feeder all tuned in waiting on opening day to send you some pics hart shot would be best, I would want a plan B shot to show though they are great heads though looks the best have bought
Thank you for your business!
Ordered a set 🤘🏼
Why do you only do right bevel?
@@TylerHunt556 because they sell 10-15 to 1
@@RanchFairy I’ve read that the majority of bow strings will naturally spin a bare shaft to the left which would warrant a left helical and therefore a left bevel as well right?
@@TylerHunt556 90% of people do not worry about this. The small amount that do, do. Yes, match helical and bevel, hope you fletch! Buying left fletch is tough!
Can you make these in a 125grain?
I won’t do it because they get too short and blunt. Tuffhead sells 125
😉👍
Ordered!
Have you shot any animals where you actually saw blood rings make a difference? After using a 200 grains single bevel I don't think the blood rings would ever touch anything? As uncle Troy says "animals move" the hide membrane muscles are all tight and contained under pressure. The single bevels are constantly rotating and leave GAPING holes easily 2xs their size...simply said the gaping gash created by the broadhead fore the blood rings create a hole bigger than the blood rings cutting diameter?
@ScottWConvid19 how though, I seriously don't believe it...at best they might cut tissue on the blade. If I have a 1/2" drill bit with 1/4" "bleeder blades" the 1/4" bleeder blades never touch lol...same here....I 100% believe the bleeder blades wouldn't show up on the potato test.
@@ScottWConvid19 how so?
@@ScottWConvid19 you're telling me I drill a 2" hole..a 1/2 drill bit will "clean up the hole" are you drunk or just stupid?
It’s john Luske!
Just placed my order. I've been waiting for them to be available.

@john1965411 that's surprising. You made a baseless comment on a person you know absolutely nothing about. Kind of says substantially more about you than it dies about me I think.

Are you looking for mechanical expandable/replaceable blades sissy, with a 400 spine arrow and aluminum insert?
Anyone who would spend a $103 bucks for three heads can certainly let me sell them a bridge!
You've come on here and responded negatively to comments by 2 people, then felt compelled to write this comment. It's apparent that you aren't interested in the product advertised. So why waste your valuable minutes in life advertising the content of your character to people you will never meet? Consider this a rhetorical question... I won't even hold it against you if you Google rhetorical... but don't you have more important things to do in your life?
A $103 dollar bridge? Sounds shitty....my fairys are all have outlived arrows 😅😂 GAPERS AND GASHERS >slits
Money doesn’t matter to me! I’ll buy a few packs!
Tell me you know nothing about machining or the cost of raw materials without telling me.
Sounds like someone that would spend $2000 on a bow and then $30 for a dozen broadheads from Aliexpress. Why do you think people spend $10 a round for TSS loads for turkey. They are just better at getting the job done. Same thing here.
