I know what it cost me. It kept me honest.

I think it's rather sad, actually. People like this still percieve the world as if a young child: it's all black-and-white, and zero-sum, and everything is just a present that is simply supposed to appear under their tree by magic in the morning because that's being adored and cherished.
I cannot imagine how hollow life must be for them when they don't really know who they are, which at at least partly comes to us through a bunch of serious effort; work that doesn't always pay off fully as we might have hoped, either, but we know we gave it our best go anyway.

Women definitely objectify men. In fact they see us only as a utility and our entire value is in our utility. As soon as we stop being usefule, they stop loving us. While with men, we slightly objectify until we fall in LOVE! Once we fall in love that overcomes a fair amount of our objectification! As women grow old, they become far less the sex object that they were, but we still stay with them out of love & duty. Modern women have proven that too few will do this for us if we stop being useful! Women's objectification of men is FAR worse as there is no way to bypass it!

When I take an honest look at men who have success in career, friendship, and romance, I feel a ton of jealousy. But I don't feel resentment toward _them;_ I feel resentment toward myself for not having the tools to earn that success for myself and not having the knowledge or resources to acquire those tools. And a lot of that comes from trying, failing, and eventually giving up. I'm happy for someone when they've earned something, and I'll absolutely acknowledge that. But I'm still unhappy with my own life and situation and wish I could just follow a foolproof plan with all the doors ahead of me clearly marked and a guarantee that enough effort would lead to success.

A few years ago I was in my first ever relationship at 26. After a few months I began to suspect she was cheating but had no proof. I had a private consultation with Alexander. He questioned me and my beliefs quite thoroughly. In the end it came down to “What about this woman made her high quality?”.
Not right then but some time after I eventually saw that my relationship value system was naive. That relationship crashed and burned spectacularly as it became apparent she was living not just two but three lives…
Afterwards, I will admit I got a bit bitter as I had a non physical rebound with a toxic feminist. That said, the question of what made my ex a high quality woman lingered. Was she? No. Then what is a high quality woman? Alexander planted a seed that day in my head.
He also planted another one as I had told him that I would be going back to University at 27 to study Psychology. He pointed out that at University I would have a unique opportunity given my age giving me status and the opportunity to form female friendships. At the time I had told him I had no interest in dating or trying to befriend a college aged girl. (Feminist programming telling me that I should date older and not be a creep).
Long story short, I spent the first year and a half of Uni figuring out what a high quality woman was and what I wanted. I formed platonic friendships with women and learned how to have a friendship with them without expectations. And like Alexander said here, when I realised that one of my friends met my values and that I would regret it if I never tried, I worked for it and made it happen. I have never been happier and have found someone works to be worthy of me as I work to be worthy of her.
There were all kinds of obstacles. We have an age gap of 9 years for example. The point is that if you put the work in to figure out your values, improve yourself and find what is truly important to you, and also take those hard earned opportunities then you will be more than just happy with your relationship, you’ll be satisfied which is something that will help buffer the times when in life when things don’t go your way.

I think that when those guys said you got "lucky" they didn't mean as in stumble upon a great girl randomly like finding $20 in the street. I think what they might have meant (not speaking for them) is that you were able to identify your personal strengths and shortcomings, the things you do or don't do enough to improve yourself at a young age to be able to work on them. And that once you found that girl you decided to stick with her and not continue searching for someone better because that's what most guys would do in their 20s.
You might have earned your success, but I think that there a so many guys who have worked hard and got very little out of it while seeing guys who don't work hard get all the success. I know I have.
A different example I would use is going to university, being top of your class and then seeing people who are at the bottom of your class getting the jobs you want simply because they have the rights contacts. I think that people are jealous of other people for being in the right place, at the right time, meeting the right people even though they didn't work as hard as you have.
But I'm mostly happy for people like you and somewhat jealous at the same time.

My response to Alexander's story is a third option. It's passive approval. I don't admire his relationship because it's his relationship and partner, not mine.
I say that with no animosity. I don't want Alexander's fulfilling relationship, I want my own.
I can observe and take in his thoughts and apply what it useful to my own life (of which there has been much!) but I can't say I have any strong feelings when listening to his background.

I am happy that you are happy with your choices, efforts and related sacrifices, it's indeed earned that you are reaping the rewards. However, I think you finding a 'unicorn' is indeed not a given, so in part it is luck. I think the work should not be done with a goal of a relationship in mind but with self-actualization in mind (self perceived high value). By being self-actualized and not relying on external validation from a woman/relationship is a path to happiness/freedom for me, but it's not for everyone - some men really desire a woman, and potentially sacrifice too much as for them without it life becomes lacking in directions, ergo meaningless. What are your thoughts, sometimes good things come especially when you don't run after them.

On a whole, I agree with you, Alexander. But boy oh boy a have a couple of caveats. First, there is a difference between jealousy and envy. I know that modern English standards of speech are falling to the ground, but it is important.
You feel jealous of someone when he/she has something you don't have. It doesn't imply ill will. Just longing. You can feel both respect and jealousy at the same time.
Envy on the other hand wants to crush you and what you have. When you feel angry with jealousy. Then you are envious. And I wholly agree that envy is a sign of low quality.
There is also a third emotional response. And I would even argue the most appropriate one. Disinterest. For example, I am not prone to developing para-social relationships. We never meet, nor do we ever talk. For all cases and purposes as a YT influencer, you are just a voice that shares knowledge. And there is implied fakeness to this line of work. There is no reason to get emotionally involved. Besides, it is old news. People that watch your channel know that you worked hard on your skills. That you have a PUA background. That you found good women and work to make the best relationship possible out of it. But without a personal connection, these are just facts.
Then you argue about the value of struggling to men. But I would argue it is a point of the whole life. Life without struggles becomes meaningless. And many fail even when they put their all into success. The world is an uncaring place.
And lastly, luck is always involved :) Every study about success and survivor bias boils down to the fact that luck is a secret ingredient. For example, your luck in a relationship is the fact that you met your current wife. If you never met women of such quality you would never be in this good position. You could argue that it is a number game. And I can argue what is even the probability of finding free high-quality women. Or maybe even the fact that you were born in Australia with providing you with all those opportunities. Nevertheless, this doesn't devalue either your skills and hard work or your achievements.
The message is great. Keep up the good work.

I think you have captured a very important point about how men view other men's success. When we feel like people have legitimately earned their place then there isn't that much bitterness involved. Political commentators will at least acknowledge the effort of their cultural counterpart have put into getting their audience, it's about the only positive things they are willing to say about each other. But when we feel like people have cheated the system, gaining success through means that cheapen the broad struggle, it's not jealousy, it's us viewing these people as legitimate threats to a functional reward structure that will continue to encourage positive human behaviour. Now there is luck, nepotism and outside forces that leverage some undeserving people over others, but as long as they acknowledge it then we feel a lot more ok with their success. It's part of the reason certain pop stars ( despite being talented) become despised when they bend the truth to sell themselves as more disadvantaged.
EDIT: I think you need to reassess how you define luck. If you didn't meet you wife, how likely do you think you would have found someone that could have given you a similar level of happiness in life? Did your hardwork turn a 0% chance into a 100% or did you turn your 0% chance into a XX% chance and after that you got lucky. The next question is whether you think you maxxed out that non XX% chance or not. The XX% just represents a wide level of uncertainty since we cannot define the level of luck needed for the vent to occur.

  • @cybernd78
    @cybernd78 Рік тому +2

I disagree: There was lots of luck involved. You where lucky to find exactly her. You where lucky that she staid loyal to you and did not fall for another guy early on. Both examples where not in your control. "It's pure luck" is completely wrong, but thinking that there was 0 luck involved is equally wrong.

The statistics are not in mens favour. Marriage is a losing game for men. Any man who marries now deserves no sympathy when it implodes. The evidence is all there. You can’t be hurt or shocked. It is now close to being inevitable. Those currently in the process of divorce didn’t have all this information and they are truly hard done to.
A man in a marriage can only control his side of things but the woman is always one ‘feeling’ or one ‘emotion’ from pulling the plug. When she does, a man can potentially lose everything and it’s hard for a man to move on when crippled financially and emotionally. It is not the same for the woman. She is financially ok and she has generally been planning her exit for a while and is in a better place emotionally. Often she is having an affair or has the man’s replacement ready to go.
It’s not worth the risk. Most women don’t even provide the bare minimum of respect and love. The man was only ever a resource for her to fund herself and her kids. Women see kids as theirs only. Men find this out when the divorce is settled.

Yes you have been duped by Established Titles, Alexander. The titles of nobility in the UK are established because they are not just for sale through some patch of land, they are granted by the authorities (that is, the crown). They are legal titles that are regulated by Scottish and British traditional law. One does not become a lord or lady by planting some trees (or have others plant some trees). I also wonder if Scottish law actually allows land to be sliced up and sold off like that. Usually land acquisition in Europe is a rather complicated affair that is strongly regulated.

The department store on the opposite side 😆...
WOMEN... A department store opened in New York City that sold men and a woman decides to visit it in search of a husband. At the store’s entrance, there’s a sign outlining the department store policy. The first rule states that you can only enter the store once. There are six floors and on each floor you can choose a husband or elect to move on to the next floor. You cannot visit a floor more than once other than to leave the building. The woman visits the first floor. The sign reads: · Men with jobs. She moves on to the second floor: · Men with jobs that adore children. She moves on the the third floor where the sign reads: · Wealthy men that adore children and are very handsome. She thinks to herself, "that's a very good deal" yet moves on to the fourth floor: · Wealthy men that adore children, are very handsome and help with the household chores. She decides to move on as things are constantly improving: · Wealthy men that adore childern, are very handsome, help with the household chores and are very romantic. The woman is about to make her purchase but can't resist moving on to the sixth floor. There the sign reads: · You are visitor number 31,456,012 on this floor. · There are no men here. · This floor exists as proof that it is impossible to please women.
& MEN… Opposite this department store, another department store opened that sold women. The sign on the first floor reads: · Women that love sex. On the second floor the sign reads: · Women that love sex and are wealthy. On the third floor the sign reads: · Women that love sex, are wealthy and have large breasts. Not a single man has visited the fourth floor.

And you see people like sneako who got cancelled and then kind of fell off, or andrew tate who got cancelled and just kept on doing his thing. Each scenario, it makes sense the path it took, why they got to their peak, why they were cancelled, like all of it. I look at someone like you with a relatively humble amount of subs, and this also makes sense. While I see you as highly intelligent, I think your topics would be disliked by many women. There is still a lot of luck involved even when a lot of time, effort, and money is put into getting into a relationship. A man could be born with certain genetic dispositions which make it almost impossible for him to get into a relationship: autism, severe social anxiety, certain severe mental illnesses, etc. Such things will cripple a man's social skills and conversation skills, giving him an extremely unattractive personality, making it so that no woman wants to be in a relationships with him. Some people are just screwed over by their genetics.
Also, a man's environment will also play a huge role. If he grows up in a very small town, there just won't be many chances for him to get into a relationship. Finding the right person largely depends on being in the right place at the right time. Many men simply miss their chance to find the right woman. And so even when a man puts in a ton of hard work, he can still end up empty handed year after year. A large part of getting into a relationship truly is luck, as much as people don't want to admit it. Lots of people don't want to admit this because doing so would be admitting that life can be very cruel and unfair and often completely out of one's control.
