Very nice presentation and a great rendition of our national anthem! Plus, for the courtesy of you and others who view this, in case you're unsure of or have forgotten Francis Scott Key's words, they are below if you want to read them while listening or sing along as you stand with your hand over your heart. The anthem begins at the 3:15 mark. O say, can you see? By the dawn's early light, what so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming, whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight, o'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming. And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. O say, does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
@RothdeMan This is why it is called figure skating. Now, it is more emphasis on jump, jump and more jumps. Without the figures, Liz Manley would have won in 1988. I really miss the days of Debi Thomas, Katarina Witt, Scott Hamilton, Brian Boitano, Kristi Yamaguchi and Jill Trenary, and oh yeah Karen Cadavy. Not sure about the spelling of the last name. These skaters are perfect examples of a true figure skating stars.
I love the medals! That's one thing I've loved about the winter olympics, the summer olympics usually are much more traditional with their medals, & the winter are much more artistic & creative. Except Bejing, they had the jade inlay, which i really liked alot, & was surprised to see for a summer olympics medal
All three men are commendable, and all three men became good friends on the pro circuit. All three were amazing, yet had their faults when they won their medals. Are they the only ones? No.
