One thing I really like about the Lumineth Battletome is that despite first appearances it actually does talk about every aspect of the Lumineth. All the Temples are talked about to some degree and their abilities are put on show. Even Tyrion's disciples, the Vanari, are laid out to a T. So unlike with the Stormcasts where all the chambers are a mystery until they are opened, with the Lumineth we can see what is coming and what will be brought to the table.
@@Sir_Gerald_Nosehairs. Tyrion is more focused with defending Hysh itself. We only got Teclis first because he is outside of Hysh. He is out, campaigning in the realms, shoring up their defenses against Slaaneshs return. Back before the current Broken Realms story line, the 4 Aelven gods debated the possibility of Slaanesh breaking free. Malerion and Tyrion were certain that their trap is perfect and Slaanesh wont be able to escape. Morathi on the other hand urged them to not be so sure and prepare for everything (we now know why), Teclis believed Morathi and was convinced that the return of the dark prince was something they need to prepare for.
@@Sir_Gerald_Nosehairs. Yes, Tyrion is busy dealing with all the Chaos armies and warbands that are all over Hysh, plus now he has to deal with all the Undead Nagash unleashed into Hysh.
Very nice as always, yeah the Wind Temple units likely get some Wind based abilities like they did with the Alarith. Pushing has already been done, but probably something related to movement (shoot and move), high rend could be there, maybe also a kind of defensive wind barrier.
I can easily imagine something like the Stormcast Palladors rule of Ride the Winds Aetheric, where it is basically a teleport. But from the story that doesn't sound like what they do. I do think that they will certainly get run and shoot, and maybe something that gives them a specific run speed rather than rolling (like what the Skyhawk Agents have).
The Lumineth unit I'm most looking forward to is the River spirits. Because in their story they absolutely manhandle an Ironjawz WAAAGH! And unlike with the Wind Spirit where you get something of a picture of what it looks like we know nothing about the form of the Rivers. So that will be exciting as GW's new minis have been amazing. And yes the Blue Scribes are one of my favorite villains because they are the epitome of Tzeentchian power and also goofiness at the same time without being totally cartoony about it. Which can be a big problem for a lot of Tzeentch villains.
Just been hoovering up your Lumineth videos to try and understand how the High Elves have changed in AoS. Am a HE player since the late 80s until early noughties. Great videos by the way!!! Tis a nice break from 40k as I buy and build my Lumienth. Are all the elements listed in Hysh? I am just trying to figure out which elemental type army Tyrion will be released with (I know it is not hinted). I wonder if he will appear with fire or air. I wonder if he will arrive with a different version of dragons (I miss dragon riders).
I liked this video a lot, it helped me see the cooler side of the Lumineth. In general i really like the wind-theamed models more than the mountain ones, and i belive that many will find them cool.
I'm a Helf main (or was, I suppose), but am just not feeling the Lumineth. The lore is good, but the models look...derpy? I can see what they're going for, Greek aesthetics on Shinto mysticism, but for me, it just doesn't gel right. Still, for those who are feeling it, it looks like GW have a lot more stuff planned for them.
I’m amazed that a former high elf player claims the new lumineth are derpy. The High Elves where absolutely infamous for having some of the derpiest models that has even been produced. Massive hands on small bodies, super derpy faces and spears that are as thick as their arms.

I disagree, I think the models look amazing. But this is obviously a person taste type of thing. So to each their own.
