Good lord, this woman is miraculous. Must correct the announcer, not the greatest female swimmer ever, but the greatest SWIMMER EVER. She's revolutionized what the experts thought about energy systems and sprints vs endurance events. She can do it all!

@@lauraarmstrong3168 She's held 14 long course world records and 2 short course world records. She has held WR in both the 400m and 1500 m free. Before her, that was unheard of for an athlete in any sport winning, much less, holding WR in a medium distance and long distance. This is akin to a runners having world records in the 400m and 1500m. Before Ledecky if someone told a physiologist or coach that someone would do what she has done they would laugh at you. She is a physical phenom and, yes, the greatest swimmer ever. Period. This is not meant as hate towards any of the other greats: Phelps, Spitz, Thorpe. Respect them all.

what is everyone's opinion about aquatic centers that not only 'dont allow' shaving as part of their 'facility rules', in any part of the facility (sinks, showers, etc) including very early in the morning 5-7am ish, when most people are not there and facilities are relatively quiet and unpopulated, but also tape laminated prints of razors with a circle and slash through them, very swastika fascist reminiscent, as in 'no shaving / no razors' in every private bathroom and changing room area on the mirror above the sink, so that people who come in and swim a couple thousand plus yards, are not able to actually be clean for themselves and the pool environment, but also lack all associated benefits of shaving that is known to the swimming community? just curious.
