Zac played Ted perfectly. Towards the end you could really see him starting to lose the more collected Ted and start seeing him crazy. He definetly deserves an award for this. My favorite part is toward the end and the judge was sentencing Bundy and how the judge praised him for his abilities as a lawyer and how he could’ve been great but he took the wrong path. I love that scene because the emotions that Zac Efron was able to bringing to his eyes. It was mixture of sincerity, hurt, and pride. It also made you question, what if he hadn’t killed all these women? Look where he could’ve been and what he could’ve accomplished.
I didn’t know much about Ted Bundy but then I clicked on this movie on Netflix out of curiosity. I am disturbed, angry, and sad. But oh my gosh zach and lily were amazing. The fear, evil, and pain they all portrayed blew me away.
If you're not too disturbed, I really do recommend the actual Ted Bundy tapes. It goes into an extreme amount of detail on all the court cases, and even his life before his murderous acts. Be warned, they also go into depth about the actual murders themselves with a few graphic images.
Lily Collins reminds me of Sofia Carson. Hard to believe she's the daughter of UK singer Phil Collins (Best singer of all time). Zac Efron sure has changed since High school musical.
I'm actually pretty surprised that not many people know about her dad. Interesting fact is that she actually wanted to drop her last name because she wanted to build herself up and wanted to make sure it was not because of her last name. Lol
Actually its because the movie is based of the book written by his girlfriend and she never really experienced any of his heinous acts first hand so the details probably weren't given in the book either
He probably changed it in respect as he’s not playing the role of a monster anymore. He could have changed the color of his hair to show respect for the women.

Anyone else impressed with the makeup? Idk why but when I see Zac in the Ted Bundy makeup, it makes me cringe. It was so subtle, but the makeup transformed him. His thoughtful performance helped too.
A few months ago I finished one of Ann Rule's books, it's called "The Stranger Beside Me". All about Ted Bundy, facts and old pictures and names... That book gave me lots of chills. When this movie came out I was pretty excited because I was thinking that Zac probably would do great, besides looking so much like the real Bundy. He nailed it, and I was thrilled while watching it, remembering details of those murders from the book. Zac deserves an award.
Zac has ALWAYS had this ability to act such powerful roles.. it was evident in some of the more serious roles he has played. Proud of him! This was a great portrayal
I guess that was the purpose. Because it gave you the POV from both Liz and Ted. Obviously he was trying to convince people he didn't commit those horrendous murders (when in actual fact he did) and acted like an innocent civilian for many years before finally admitting it. A very chilling experience I must say.
Zac really captured Bundy's frightening charm that I almost forgot that it was Zac for a while. I've heard people get scared that they were actually sympathizing with Bundy. But I think that was part of his character and why it made it easier for him, it's because he is actually likable. And his likableness is what he used to do those unspeakable things. The movie may not have been totally accurate in terms of technicality, but Zac's portrayal, I think, was perfect.
im sorry but the chemistry between these two AMAZING actors is INCREDIBLE. no wonder the movie turned out so fantastic and captivating, they brought this whole story alive.. love it
I love how their analyzing the characters as if they don't play them themselves. I also admire how deeply actors watch a movie. Like I don't look into all the tiny things that they sit and pick apart

He like that with every female costar
Zach Efron is great. He really brought the character to life. Great job.
The end scene when Liz goes to visit Ted for the last time gives me chills every time I watch it. They both did such an incredible job in this movie
These guys absolutely CRUSHED it and had incredible chemistry!
This whole movie was one of the best movies I’ve seen
This film was astonishing. Very well made and in my opinion, it deserves an Oscar.
Zac efron was so convincing, please do a zodiac killer version of a documentary series
Although no one really knows who the zodiac really was. There are theories. I think another actor should be hired for that role
When he finally confesses to Elizabeth of his killings and she finally sees the real him - that gave me chills 🤤
Zac has ALWAYS had this ability to act such powerful roles.. it was evident in some of the more serious roles he has played. Proud of him! This was a great portrayal
Lily is gorgeous and intelligent
loved them both in the film
The movie was confusing cuz it’s was making u think he didn’t do none of tha 😭 so I was really arguing w myself bout it
Yeah you're so right but this movie was so great
Luca Mensinga yes indeed, Zac did a really good job w tha role 💯
@@Pinklover8 yep i thought zac was just pretty and not that great of an actor but this movie really let him show how good he is
kia yeaaa I was like 🤔
I guess that was the purpose. Because it gave you the POV from both Liz and Ted. Obviously he was trying to convince people he didn't commit those horrendous murders (when in actual fact he did) and acted like an innocent civilian for many years before finally admitting it. A very chilling experience I must say.
watched it the morning it came out,( yesterday) it was so good. the acting was amazing, i hope it gets awards
😭 . naw . the way efron played that shit , had me wondering : DID HE DO IT ? 😂✌🏾 .
Lol I kept forgetting he was playing a serial killer and empthazied with him so bad! And then I remembered it's not Zac Efron, it's TED BUNDY!!
me too
Yeah yeah yeah. Me too
This movie was absolutely amazing. Those 2 are amazing actors. Future Oscar winners I think!
Who else was feeling bad for Ted & thinking he was Innocent , 😳
215 • hell no
Never
Because of Zac’s PHENOMENAL acting, I definitely did.
Bc the movie is giving u that perspective intentionally, that's how liz felt - so in the HACKSAW scene, edited together with his only scene where you really see his violent side - it all dawns on you in a moment and it's shocking and horrifying.
That’s what the movie wanted us to think. It’s fantastic
This mo ie was amazing it was scary how accurate Zac was with the looks that Ted gives it was really amazing the closeness of it x
from Troy to Ted..
time flies😌
Zac Efron has turned me gay lol, what a good looking dude
we found Jefferey dahmer here
Yea i think im questioning my interest if you know what i mean😉
Only ricardo milos can -_-
Bri Corley95 Hm. Or...Maybe you were just gay all this while.
"lying comes so effortlessly" yes
Finally Zac Efron is being taken more seriously for his acting. I saw something unique in his skills when he was in Charlie St. Cloud.
my aunt knows detective robert keppel’s son. he was one of the main people to help catch ted bundy. his son used to tell my aunt stories of what ted told his dad
