I know I'm probably late but here is my period horror story!
So I was on day 2 and normally my period is okay and I only have to use one pad for the whole school day, then I change it when I get home.
I was in the last class of the day and my pad felt a bit heavy, so I had a bad feeling so I covered my butt with my jumper and sat down I had a lot of work so I had to stay seated for 1 hour and 16 minutes. I stood up I felt a bit wet and I felt my butt and saw 😳❤ blood on my hand my face went bright red but there was nothing on my chair or jumper.
I got straight out of class and went straight to the bathroom, and I changed my pad but people kept coming in so I waited and then changed it. I walked out and wanted to cry. I was wearing my sports uniform and it's like dark blue so even if I wasn't wearing a jumper around my waist you could not see anything.
I went to my locker and got my phone and called my sister and told her what happened I only live 4 minutes away from my school so normally I have to walk home but my mum picked me up.
and I thought we were going home. ( TURNS OUT MY SISTER TOLD MY MUM WHAT HAPPENED AND MY MUM TOOK ME TO GET my flu shot when she knew what happened so I was so mad and I was cold. then my mum went to get lollies and told my brother what happened to me so I was so embarrassed bc my brother is 16.
moral: my mum is mean. I hate my period.

I think it's specially helpful at night or during the day to use thicker maxi pads during the day size 2 or 3 heavy flow with a size smaller cotton underwear not to tight but smaller than ur regular size than get like a spandex shorts cotton darker colored than u can wear u normal clothes loss fitting prevent pad shifting change 3 hrs maxs on normal days heavy days every 2 hrs
