- A stop motion short about a man who just wants to do his job.
If you like it, check out my latest work for the alien band "Galactaron": • Galactaron - First Con... and they're currently selling shirts to benefit the planetary society: galactaron.spre...
Or my website: www.owendennis.com
If you ever want to make your own foam latex puppets, I highly suggest checking out the DVD that I used from Kathi Zung: www.angelfire.c...
Two ways. The paper was actually two pieces of paper with a piece of tin foil in between them so I could manipulate it and it would stay in place. The first way was to put strings in there with it, then balance everything out and suspend it between two points. The part where it does the loopity loop, however, is a piece of curved paper that was tacked onto a pane of glass. You can't see the edges though, so you can't tell that you're looking through glass.
This made me chuckle, that rat is such a troll XD. Great Stop Motion :)
Dude. I love it. Please bring Galactaron back. I miss them.
that video is real art - approved.
Haha. so the dog represents reddit? The beast that's always distracting me from my work? Great video!
Reminds me very much of Don Hertzfeldt's animation... Maybe it is the sound design?
Great work!1
MOAR!
I liked it, but there's one thing I would have changed. I would have made it so that after the sequence with the rat, he finally snaps and smacks the rat, causing it to go into the tube. I think that would have been an improvement. Great video, though!
At first I was like "WTF?" Then I was like "..WTF?!" but then I was like "Ah...WTF?". I liked it!
Wow this is amazing work! How did you make the paper fly around??
this is so awesome gj
I saw a b film with Zac Galifinakis in it that is stunningly close to this, any link to the two?
Hey! That rat was not approved!
it was a dog!
What just happened?
Ok then.
How long did it take to animate?
Am I the only one that found this INCREDIBLY creepy?
Lmao
This was a waste of time
just wanna say this is one of my all-time favorite videos
Exelent animation owen
This is some jack stauber stuff
Infinity train is amazing great job it should be green lighted
It is, and just ended at 4 books.
.
awesome vid. I had that job once, lol
Well, there's shit in my pants now.
Lol that thing is kinda adorable
Well that's a really awesome comment. Thank you! I really only set out to make something funny, but most funny things come from some kind of truth. So I'm sure there's probably a theme in there, just not something I was consciously thinking about. You're free to interpet it however you want.
Omg, hi, Owen Dennis. I love Infinity Train.
I would like to let you know that I really admire your work on this film. I was originally exposed to it several months ago, and it left an impression on me; it still crosses my mind from time to time. I'm not sure how intentional you were about theme, but this is what I've gathered as some sort of a controlling idea: problems/conflicts in our lives (certainly grotesque and unwanted) arrive unannounced, occupy our attention and disrupt our clean routine, but pass just as abruptly. Great work.
?Wait what? 0.o
The table squeak sounds just makes it.
I think that's actually the most random thing I've seen on UA-cam
Well...um...huh! 0_o
Lights were 8 work lamps I bought at home depot.
So fricken hilarious =)))))
Stupid
This is great, well done! How did you get that lighting and how did you get that piece of paper to fly around? Anyway this short is very original and the photography is very ingenious.
Either way sir, bravo. well done.
It was just my finger squeaking on a big library table.
hilarious, love it!
Nice animation and small sketch. The premise is simple and the characters are very good looking. I see the rat is very ugly looking and exaggerated in terms of design and movement. Kind of glad as that thing went away since it looks hideous. Anyway, very good stop motion work.
wtf!?
Awesome animation XDD great job
im in the strange part of youtube again
wtf is this y would u make this? *no offence*... its just y?
I've had days like this.
how do i keep ending up at these random videos.. feel like i'm in the twilight zone lol
i am so confused
That dog scares me.
xToySoldier army inbound!
The whole time i just wanted to KILL that dog/rat looking thing.
i thought it was a coyote...but it sure wasn't approved...whatever it was.
Wow, this is really cool! Must have taken forever. Thanks for posting it on Reddit and sharing :)
all of my what
I laughed quite hard at this.
The sound work is particularly wonderful and the animation is pretty smooth. You must have worked pretty hard at this, nice work.
I don't know why, but the alarm that went off when the paper came down the tube creeped me the fuck out.
Oh! My mistake, sorry about that. Have you made any other stop motion movies you could post here? I'm sure everyone would love to see them.
Thanks! It's actually just stop motion though, the characters were made out of foam, not clay.
I have never laughed so hard at a claymation. Well done.
This is awesome, love the style - what would have made it better is if you made the dog's eye pop out when it got stuck in the vacuum tube! Good job :D
this was good, i dont know why but it was good
That was amazing! Well done!
the rat/wolf is going to give me nightmares! brilliant design!
This was good... but... LOLWAT?
I would like this video, but I don't want to make it 421 ;)
No. I've never heard of it. I made this in 2008 (though the copyright says 2012 because I just released it). I thought of it one day when I got to work too early so I just sat in my car doodling. Since I almost always start drawing a circle first, this egg man was drawn and then it all kind of went off from there. At the time I was working as a QA videogame tester and it was a pretty boring job so I guess that inspired me or something.
Probably about two months of actual animation work and a month or so of set building and puppet making. The set was built in my bedroom so I'd basically wake up, start working, go to sleep, repeat for two months.
That's awesome! I felt so bad for the man D:
i dont get it
