This could be interesting. Here's a little fact. Both Leo and Tobey are actual friends, as well as these two appeared in the following projects; "This Boy's Life", "Don's Plan" and "The Great Gatsby".
I like the idea for this one as it’s very interesting to see the film come to life. It’d be cool to see the Batman year one adaptation set to be directed by Darron Aronofsky around 2002. There’s concept art for Batman with a script that seems almost divorced from what we’d normally see from a Batman story/world. A broke Bruce Wayne prowls the streets of Gotham in a script written by FRANK MILLER, known for his work in such titles as The Dark Night Returns and Year One, as he begins to develop the legend of The BATMAN.

Not gonna lie, the way they made the concept for this movie, it feels and looks like the Spider kid comics with Charlie Peter Parker from Earth 218. Also, Leonardo honestly have the look for that version of Peter, it's kind of dark too
I really didn't like the concept of this story it feels less like spiderman and more like a trashy Hollywood film featuring spiderman

This movie sounds like it would've been fun, but I think what we got is better. For the most part, what we got gets more to the heart and soul of who spider man is.

Now hearing the story from James it's like this is an entirely different adaptation of the web slinger. I'm sitting here like "wait what is this?" To be honest I'm good with what we ended up with.

Even though an R rated Spider-Man film would’ve been interesting, it doesn’t really suit the character and the script for this film doesn’t sound quite right in terms of the atmosphere and events that happened in it. And it sounded as if Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the script doesn’t seem like himself. If you notice in the Raimi, Webb, and MCU films, subsequently, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland’s versions all have familiar aspects of Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Even in NWH, we can see that all three have differences yet mostly similar qualities that lets us know that they are portraying the same character. By the sound of this script, Peter Parker sounds like a completely different character. He doesn’t have that personable and kind personality that he’s known for. Yes, there have been many stories where he has been bitter, reckless, and troubled. Even Tobey, Andrew, and Tom’s versions have shown these aspects at times. But, the script made it seem like that that’s just his personality in general to the point where he almost comes across as unlikable. I think that would’ve rubbed many fans the wrong way because the character of Peter Parker/Spider-Man is suppose to be a likable, charming character for people to root for, even when he makes mistakes.

@@tygenefox324 Thank you! Thinking about it more, an R rated Spider-Man film would've been interesting to see. But, the way James Cameron had written the character of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in this script doesn't feel right. He should've kept most of the qualities that make the character who he is like his compassion for others, his meekness, and simply doing the right thing. If you go back over the script or listen to it, most of Peter's actions are extremely selfish throughout. Don't get me wrong. I don't mind when there are times when Peter acts selfishly, loses his temper, and becomes extremely combative when fighting criminals. That would show that he's human and he's heavily flawed. But, those aspects shouldn't be the basis of his character because, paraphrasing what MJ said in NWH, that's not who he really is. He's supposed to be likable and someone for the audience to root for. He didn't come across as very heroic until the very end of the script.

I know Leo is one of those “pedigree” actors, but I still think one of the coolest things Marvel Studios could do with the multiverse is have him cameo as Spider-Man.
With technology these days, they could even de-age him to make it even cooler.

Ultimately I think this movie would've been too stuffed to have been done right. They'd definitely have to slim down some things.

That Spiderman movie would have been so 90s, I am kind of happy we got the Spidey movies we got in some ways but it would have been nice to have seen it.

It's funny, how've I seen the storyboards to this particular spider-man and now I'm an artist drawing it as he states the story ... considered this a fan film narration with well detailed illustrations.

It was either ABC or NBC that almost made a live action Jetsons movie, and I am pretty sure they even started casting but for some reason it didn't work out. Could be an interesting one for you to look into.
