This is my porn, i love watching and seeing finish filing lol I have watched each of your videos since you first started the series and i've never thanked you on how aware and conscious you are on how everything looks on camera. To the colour of the background against a clear nail, the angles you use, to your hand placement behind something so we can see things clearly. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! It's what forms a part of why these videos are so darn good!

Elizabeth, you are an amazing educator. I was recently looking up Yelp reviews of local salons and despairing at the negative reviews and mediocre looking work. I realized I can totally do my nails better, with better technique and sanitation practices. The homemade nail cleanser solved all my lifting problems, and now I'm able to do my own overlays and backfills! Thank you, thank you! I'm ready to tackle extensions.

This is the video I've been looking for for years. In particular, the side hump at 2:15 is my NEMESIS. I have really small nail beds and wear active length, so even a small hump makes my nails look squat. I've always had trouble seeing it until my nails were finished, so I really appreciate you showing how to check for that, not just correct it.

These 4 educational videos were a game changer for me, thank you so much! I'm a dIYer that started doing my nails about 10 months ago ( it was when i retired from being a nurse, i realised that i can have nails now...!) and i tried different techniques but it was somehow "easier" to do full cover tips. But i never ended up improving and it was fustrating. When i saw these videos and tried to do these techniques on me, it was like a revelation! I think i did a pretty good job on the first time and i know i will improve. I feel i found my way and it is so stimulating, i'm so grateful to you! I just had to let you know! xxx

Your videos have taught me how to do my nails at home properly, and I'm SO grateful. I've been doing my nails for about a year now and just knew that if I came back and rewatched your videos, I would pick up more than I did during the first round. I love the finish-file process but my nails wouldn't look right and I couldn't figure out why. This has been ILLUMINATINGGG. Thank you for creating this content!!!

I wanted to get my nails done again bc I used to go get acrylic every few weeks, but I just had my 1st baby and cant really affored to go get them done like that anymore and I wanted to do them myself. I didnt want the fake press ons so I found you and I love this! Gel is my answer but no one was showing how to do it from start to finish in detail. I'm trying to learn everything I can b4 I do mine. I can't do acrylic bc of the smell from the monomer. Not good for babies. This will be perfect! Thank you!

New subscriber here! I’ve always been a big fan of Suzie over at Nail Career Education nd have been hooked on her! I just stumbled onto your channel today and have been blown away by how much I’ve learned in the little time I’ve spent watching some of your videos! Seriously you have a real gift for explaining techniques in a way that’s easy to understand ! I’m also a big fan of how you take the time to explain WHY you do things the way you do instead of just saying “just do steps 1,2,3,4”.. I know everyone learns differently but I feel like most people really take to and retain information better when they know the “why” behind it! Anyway I’m done blabbing!lol just wanted to say I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos and you have a new subscriber (w/ the alerts turned on! 🚨)

Omg! AWESOME like always. I’m having a real nightmare with filing before gel color application. Even though I try to follow all your steps and have very light hand, when I finish filing I see the nail looks okay, but once I apply the gel polish, I can see lines or little gaps; so I was wondering, can we buff after filing and before gel? If so, what would be the grit size?.
Also before gel polish application on natural nails, I buff with an arbor sanding band (medium) to a very low speed and light pressure, but once I apply the base coat and then the gel polish, I can see some little dots (not lints, it’s more like the small particles of the natural nail after buffing with the efile), so To avoid that I’ve been using a rubber base coat, because due to the high viscosity, those small particles are hidden before I apply gel polish. I was wondering if it’s better to use a hand buffer for the preparation (180) rather than the arbor band. Or if I’m just doing things wrong. Thank you for being amazing as always, and for helping us all the time with your videos and answers.

Hi Liz, can you pls do a detailed video on how to use a nail file. The correct angles to use when filing. When I file, it takes me a long time to get that chalky look because I can't figure out the correct position my file needs to be to reach certain sections. Normally by the time im done filing, I end up removing to much product or filing off to much of my natural nail if im prepping.
