The opener is such a great showcase of the layered potential of the Roger That. The ambient portions with Microcosm and the gorgeous outro jam really took things over the top!
Hey, I really enjoyed those ambient loops towards the end with the merits and microcosm. Great stuff. Do you have any recommendation for someone trying to achieve that sound on a budget? are there other pedals or methods you know of to achieve that without a microcosm and meris?
Hey thanks for watching! You can absolutely approximate those sounds with more budget-friendly stuff. The Zoom MS-70CDR is one I'll always recommend for a big variety of ambient effects-in particular the Ice Delay patch in that one will get you some similar pitch-shifted/reversed sounds. You can also do a lot of fun stuff with looping, and I did a video about that specifically in an ambient/soundscape context. Not with budget pedals necessarily, but the same ideas would apply to anything you might use ua-cam.com/video/efb-Na_6RDg/v-deo.html Synth stuff like the Meris Enzo is a little tougher. There aren't a ton of *cheap* synth pedals I know of that I'd recommend, but the Boss SY-1 is really solid and can be had for well under $200 on the used market. Or alternatively, you could pick up a Korg Volca Keys or Volca FM-both are really fun and affordable little synths that I really enjoyed when I had them. Hope that all helps!
The intro is SO GOOD!

@@ambienttrash5234 I agree

I wonder how many people just added the Enzo to their Reverb watch list (again)?
If only the drive didn't affect the dry signal
