Those little ribbon cables with those fragile little clips are such a pain in the arse.. The dualshock 3 didn't have that problem, but the L2 and R2 triggers on the DS3 were a nightmare to switch without 3 hands, they were the worst part for me.. But the triggers on the DS4, however, look easy to switch from this video.. Same with L1 and R1.. I wonder if that controller worked or if he had to open it up again to a secure or realign some parts.. :p
What about just changing the back of it? I want to have the berry blue front with a gold back both DualShock... so just unscrew the back remove the tab and put it back on?
Sorry to be an ass but I did both of my controllers in 10 minutes my recommendation would be to practice this stuff before you make a video so it's not longer than it needs to be I like the shells tho and no I'm not saying I'm perfect at it just trying to help also so u don't fuck that ribbon cable up on the touch pad just take the battery tray off the ds4 board so it's out of the way and the cable doesn't get kinked torn or damaged of any sort it would go a lot smoother than the way you did it in the video sorry to be this person I just want to help for your other videos
i figured out if you want to mix controllers (white top/black bottom) or any other mix you like is a little difficult with new controllers and the originals for the ps4 take all of the buttons out of the top half of the shell and switch the tops the green board ds4s will not be compatible with parts from the blue boarded ds4s. the light bar in the bottom half of the original controller (jet black controller) has similar screw placement but it will not line up so remove the top shell and switch the pieces that way if youve found an easier way for this switch between original and new ds4 controller please let me know (i love mixing my controller colors when it looks good haha) just figure plenty of people would enjoy this like me good luck

yea, its just the shell i bought. its not properly made. i took the controller apart and the share button gets stuck because of how small the hole is to put it in (no homo hahaha)

I've changed the shell on a couple of my controllers now and sometimes a button wont respond or activates when not pressed. I've cleaned all the contacts and reset the controllers but it's still the same problem. Controllers that I've only changed the buttons have no problems. Anyone else have this problem? And did you find out how it fix it?

all you have to do its take everything apart and reverse everything to the new shell.... not very difficult

You obviously screwed up on the R1 button. There are 2 sticks to which you need to aim at when putting it in. You missed one.

Ur right... I'm 15 and I've managed to customise a controller just like this and made it look easier than he did...

Push it through the thin bar an it should come towards u ... From there it's simple and u place in the new shell the same way you take it out
