    Huge congratulations are owed to Will for the beautiful work on this knife. I hope it helps inspire folks who have limited tools to keep pushing the boundaries of their skills. Having good tools is so much fun and brings such joy to us as makers, but we don't need them to get better and make better work. Experience, ingenuity and hard work always trumps the fancy tools! Fancy tools just help make the knowledge get applied easier!
    Go follow Will @will_stelter

      Me: 20 minutes of where'd my hammer go? These tongs don't fit this steel right. I'll adjust my tongs. The rivet loosened up. The rivet is too tight. The tong fit up got knocked out of whack. Refit the tongs. The steel burned. I'm out of propane. Where'd my hammer go?

    Alec, Will, and Jamie, you all have continued to impress all of us over the years.
    I started watching Alec back in 17 when I was deployed to Qatar, and was so amazed at the skill and technical crafting from such a young blacksmith.
    Jamie’s edits definitely have the flair needed to make Alec and Will worth watching, and is just as big of a start in his own right for constantly being able to create entertaining videos from whatever nonsense Alec and Will send him lol.
    Will has been the fire to Alec’s forge, and was a breath of fresh air since day one. I don’t think there has ever been a better tag team duo better than Steele and Stelter.

    This guy is a master at his craft. The enjoyment and pleasure he shows while carrying out the tedious part of the job ( his speciality ...hand sanding ) makes these videos really enjoyable and well worth waiting for . The fit and finish of the knife is beautiful. Please continue the " Will's Garage " series.

    Next time Will does a video can the time lapse of when he’s working on it be slowed down a bit? It’s so fast you blink and the knifes done where as I think it would be nice id we could actually see the process of what he’s doing

    What are the benefits of forging a small knife like this over just profiling it out of flat stock.

    • @Negrataish
      @Negrataish 4 роки тому

      If you have the stock of the desired thickness, nothing, no benefits.
      But that stock was too thick, so it isn't worth to grind all that material away
