It just boils down to the amount of money in the game these days. These top drivers all have top college graduate mechanics and engineers working on thier teams to setup thier cars showing up in million dollar haulers vs guys like tyler towing in a car hauler with a pickup truck. Dirt track racing has went from blue collar racing to only the top earners can even get in a car. Hell they have 10-15,000 in the motors of bombers
A street stock roller now brand-new cost 25-30K the racing as a hobby for the middle class is gone.
@@CDeese39 Yeah Trust me I know. I wish I could afford to get in one of these cars. I make 100k a year doing excavation and there is no feasible way of paying $500-1000 per night just show up to race not to mention repairs etc for me with a family. I couldn't handle it if someone intentionally wrecked my car id wind up in big trouble. So i just stay out of it completely. I definitely understand how tempers can flare and even how fans feel because we are all living vicariously through our favorite drivers.
Ya, even the "Hobby Stocks" are running $7k crate motors, and that doesn't include the carb.
Don't get Me started, I ran karts for 5 years ( dirt of course) and My Dad built Me a Hobby Stock because it was Alot cheaper. This was in the late 80's early 90's.
He gave Me his old fire suit and we used the aluminum seat from the kart in the Car. The only tire rule was No Snow tires or truck tires. ( Similar to the derby car rules). Inflation has been out of control for decades upon decades
