Yes! I couldn't believe it when I first heard it! So intimately well done live between him and the orch. This is hard to capture sometimes. I had to watch this after I heard it while driving.
I played it 10 years ago with my music school orchestra as a clarinet and fell in love with this piece. It's exceptional and deserves more recognition!
Maginificent interpretation. Had literally goosebumps. Joshua Bell plays with so much dedication, his tone sounds so bright, majestic but also light-footed. Also appreciate the interaction with the soloist and the wonderful orchestra.
Thank you for your comments. I like to know what I'm listening to (sort of...) I'm going to hear Renaud Capucon play this concerto with the Chicago Symphony orchestra in a few weeks and I want to educate myself ahead of time. :)
Listen to the Zino Francescatti version, then, perhaps insist or reconsider instead. Obviously, it´s a matter of personal taste. IMHO this is a very good version.
2016, I enjoyed JOSHUA playing this Beautiful concert, here, at Colon Opera House, Buenos Aires- Arg. I' ll never forget!!! Now I enjoy it again, much moved! THANKS!
Absolutely brilliant composition, a personal favorite. 21:41 one of the most sublime, serene and calming passages in all the literature; who needs blood pressure meds with a theme like that? I do find, however, the coda of mvt 3 (27:48) quite odd and out of character. Seems like a soap commercial from the 50's. Bravo Mr Bell.
No.1 concerto I s really wonderful. No.2 all3 mov a bore. A lotta good mu s ic has to be lived with but the material I s weak it will never become beloved. Why is no.3 always chosen. It's less tuneful .even the virtuosic material goes nowhere. No.1 needs championing!
Mr.Joshua Bell he's big musician and great violinist virtuoso, but really i don't understand and i'm really very embarassed,to watch this young conductor absolutely unable to follow a "monster" like Bell.In particular it's very clear to understand (now i speake for those who know this concert) that maestro he doesn't know the score.I think he doesn't studied sufficiently, because you can to focus a lot of moment where he lost the way and Mr.Bell he must carrie all musicians in his back.
I. Allegro non troppo - 0:00
II. Andantino quasi allegretto - 9:25
III. Molto moderato e maestoso, Allegro non troppo - 17:40

The translation of these movements into English by the great Internet Translator is a hoot!
This orchestra has the most happiest conductor I have ever seen.
Saint-Seans is a Happiness Composer.
@@patriciarossman8653 WHO IS THE CONDUCTOR? There would be no performance of this without him!

Good balance, can hear both soloist and orchestra clearly

I actually just performed with my school orchestra as a flute in a concert yesterday. This piece is absolutely amazing
Heard it performed last weekend by the Cleveland Orchestra and soloist Simone Landsma. Hard to understand why it isn't better known.
The artificial harmonics at the end of the second movement gave me goosebumps

Hermosa obra el solista con mucha pasion,a orquesta magistral
I love this Concerto’s 3rd movement. One of the greatest
Couldn't agree more. Makes me think of Mozart with its light and understated style.
In classical music it is called a piece, not a song, and this one is a concerto- thanks for the info tho!
It sounds like a bird if u hear it 2x

This is pure beauty, in the artistic, aesthetic and spiritual sense. This is art that elevates mankind. Bravo.
1:12 - eight note double stops
2:16 - second entrance
2:58 - dolce espressivo
3:44 - weird chromatic extended note run
4:17 - run A1
4:30 - run B1
4:40 - double stops
4:50 - triplet runs
Nice to see someone knows what is going on. I just hear music
The chromatic thing is so annoying to practice lol

Beautiful rendition of the Saint Saenz violin concerto No. 3. Brings so much joy to the spirit. Bravo!
