- The other week on the way home after a weekend away i was about 200 miles ish from home and the bike died on me
got the bike home and found out what was the issue !

Sparkplug on a BSA Bantam my dad had and I used to ride used to fire our like a bullet, completely at random. Was like playing Buckeroo. 😅 Glad it was an easy fix.
Yes I have had plugs that have come loose, and plugs that have seized in the head, even more pain.

You should do a compression check if its low do an air leak down test to see where the air is going, that will tell you if rings or valves are an issue. But it does sound like compression is ok. / it started ;)

I've had this as well took me ages to work out what was wrong! Mine would fire and die. I was lucky tho just had to torque it back up and gave it a little over the spec torque and was fine after that😅

Yep, some bikes loosen spark plugs quicker than others. Just carry a plug spanner around and give them a nip / check every few weeks now you know it does it. My Royal Enfield Scram likes to loosen them. Never seen a ground electrode snap off though, but guess it happened as it threw the plug out of the cylinder and it smashed against something, so maybe not even inside your engine. 👍
Last time I check the spark plugs was 2018

Thats a new one for me. I know bolts can vibrate loose, I have had my gear lever rear set lose a bolt but Ive never even thought about spark plugs. 1 more thing to check i suppose.

Timing failure possibly valve damage my best guess
Yikes I think I would of tried a hoover or magnet down the spark plug hole just incase.
Never had one come loose but I got my first puncture the other day down a green lane, made a little video of my escapade.

had a Hard drive on my PC fail on me so i had to re edit the video again
I have had spark plugs go bad on me, on the previous bike, but never physically broken.
i should have just changed them before but the bike was running fine so did not bother
@@BigPezza that's what I have always been told by mechanic friends - never repair a working thing, you might break it.
That's a first... imagine if the plug tip did get stuck in the combustion chamber and the damage that could of done 😵
alot of miles on my engine would probiely be better finding a 2nd hand replacement
