- I started to dance on pointe a couple weeks ago. This is still new for me. But I am enjoying the process of learning and becoming a better ballerina. Love my ballet teacher miss Val and all hard work she is putting into me.

That's the first thing I noticed that she's got long legs. I have no clue about ballet, but I thought she should be practicing ballet when at one of her vlogs, she did a ballet move and I was impressed and thought why not get ballet classes, not knowing she actually had been doing it already.
She's a real material girl in arts, from playing violin, guitar, singing and now ballet. Wow, impressive girl 🏆👍
Love your lesson and the real effort you put into it, I have friends in the UK 🇬🇧 that run The Chelsea Ballet Company, they do charity performance’s throughout the year.

Serious Ballerinas are no joke!
They are hardcore athletes, and Ballet training makes everyone a better dancer, even if they are not performing Ballet as their primary style of dance.

Thank you so much for letting us watch your ballet lesson. It was very enjoyable, and it is obvious you have an excellent instructor. I hear you on your hands. I am primarily a flutist but also play piano and other instruments, and am a typist. Sixteen months ago I broke my right hand and also injured three fingers severely. I recently completed a year of hard occupational therapy, and still do home therapy, which I will always need to do. My hand is probably 90-95%, but joyfully, I am able to play flute, piano, and type (also very important for what I do) as before, and those are the important things. Everything else and even residual pain at times is secondary. It took a long time, however, and it was terrible to not be able to bend my fingers for months. So I hear you, absolutely.
*In fact, in your situation it might be wise to insure your hands.*

U got this, Karolina! Sometimes, U gotta give up things U like(basketball, volleyball)in order to pursue your passions(violin and ballet). Keep these other P's in mind: Patience, Persistence, Perseverance, Pursuit of excellence, a Positive attitude, and of course, Practice, Practice and more Practice. Take care, Karolina, and in your down time, please take care of your feet, because you'll really need them when U get older.🙂🙏🇺🇦🇺🇲❤️
I second this. @cidatienza your motivational advice is bang on! To be the even near the best at anything you have to give up something in the pursuit of excellence . Though remember, life is a journey and it takes breaks, twists and turns so do not get upset if you go through struggles or if you choose to do something different.

So THAT’s how it’s done! I appreciate the insight into the ballet world, something I’d visited for a couple years starting at age 5. Watching en pointe dance is a fascination for me…and now, 60+years later, I don’t need anything that would hurt my feet. I’ll enjoy it vicariously through you, sweet Karolina 😉

My brother in law was in the Palm Beach Ballet he danced in the Nutcracker for 50 years. The creative director Linda Swaidon married her, my sister’s father in law, Papa Joe. So we were blessed to be able to see the show for years up close.

Such a multi talented girl! Tho you're just an year older than me, look what all you've already mastered!
My skill level is about the same as her's, but I do martial arts and I play the bells. I'm also 1 month and 1 week older than her. The only thing she has that I don't is a lot of flexibility and the only thing I have that she doesn't is a lot of stealth.

I would say the heck with this passion, drop it and take contemporary dance. It brings unhealthy expectations on young women and can cause eating disorders.

I have watched ballet performances my whole life & always wondered how the training was. Your video, with the very kink & generous support of your parents, was very enlightening. I can see that learning discipline & self-control involved with ballet is a great help to a successful life. You are an amazing person Karolina! Thank your mom & dad too!
Karolina, I love watching you play and dance. I know little about music and even less about dance.
I started giving names to your dance moves awhile back.
First you have the walks. The sunday promanade and the Hulk stride. Then you have your kicks which come in one and two step versions, kick them in the shin, kick them in the chin, and then the kick them somewhere inbetween, and finaly the mule kick (don"t stand behind Karolina whin she is dancing). Then you have the spider stomp and the flamingo spin. Finaly you can add the bend like a gummi worm to all the above.
Do any of those moves have real names?
