- I've been waiting for this day for so long. Some of you know that I do ballet. It's my passion beside of playing violin and music. And finally I get my first pointe shoes. My amazing ballet teacher miss Val and Amy from "Dancers Wearhouse" are helping me to choose the right ones. I hope you like this video.

This girl has a very active routine!
She plays the violin 🎻, sings, dances 🩰... and her parents are always with her supporting her.
I remember that as a child I also have many interests, and ballet and music were one of them.
However, it was never possible and with the passage of time that desire and interest in ballet faded. But I never lost my admiration for this discipline.
The gracefulness, the majesty and the elegance with which those rigorous and torturous movements are executed leaves me amazed.

It can take an hour or more to fit them correctly. Trying different styles, brands, etc as well as box widths, shank strengths, pre arched or not. I worked in a dance wear store before the pandemic lol

I am sorry for all that is going on in your Country, I live in New York and have been praying for every one there; We have religious sisters that have family there, but thank God they are ok.

You said in your video that you were going to algebra; I am from Colombia and @ the time when I was in 10th gray, I couldn’t understand algebra, but my father sent me back to my Country for one year, and then I was the best one in algebra, because I was able to understand it in my language. Congratulations! I got my first pointe shoes 2 weeks ago, had my first time in them in class last week. I am just a little bit older than you though. I am a (very) mature ballet student. I had waited since 1984 to get my first pair. I am still very excited. Enjoy the process. I am, it is so much fun!

You get the point & now your Dad gets the point too. I took ballet in my forties to help with my figure skating. It also helped me as a gymnastics coach to better understand how to help gymnasts incorporate elements of dance in their routines. It will keep you strong & flexible. Enjoy your points.

She's been taking ballet for a while or she wouldn't be going on pointe. That requires a lot of preparation because if you aren't ready it can damage your muscles, etc
